You know why he's their champion? Because he amplifies their concerns instead of talking down to them. Imagine what it would look like if a honest, hard working politician did the same instead of shaming them for appreciating being heard.

Why is this even an issue? Why wouldn't you want to protect people from heat stroke????

Measures like this (Texas did one too) come in response to construction companies. When they bid on contracts for road construction that can span multiple municipalities or counties, the varying rules become a large issue. Depending on what part of the road crews are working on, the rules for breaks change. Throw in weather that can impact where a crew works on any given day and scheduling becomes difficult and costly. So the mission is not to torture workers. The mission is to have consistent rules across the state so projects can be completed in a timely and efficient manner.

Republicans fear education and knowledge, because, education and knowledge are kryptonite to them.

So true. In America, you can post a meme like this, pretend that the comparison is equal and that McDonalds is paying for all those things in Denmark and can still offer lower prices, and people will fall for it.

Exaggerating to make political points is common place. Contradicting your self from sentence to sentence is quite amusing. If no bills in the House, then how are the bills that get passed going nowhere? Further, if they're going no where in the Senate, why aren't we talking about how the democratically controlled Senate is getting nothing done? Come on - proofread! Partisanship breeds hypocrisy - but we're supposed to at least pretend to hide it!

Why is it that when a Republican takes action, it represents the entire party - but when a Democrat takes action, it represents an individual? I don't get it.

Is it possible that the reason for that is that the 10 Commandments, being from the Old Testament, don't represent a single religion? Maybe the Christians advocating for it are more accepting of other faiths than their critics want to believe?

The real "attack" is coming from the politicians who are trying to get away with doing nothing on Social Security, who are hoping the mandatory reduction that is coming up will just go unnoticed. But go ahead - keep calling the ones trying to do something about that names. Keep voting for the ones who will let the pay cut just happen.
