There are days in the middle of winter that make you feel like spring won't be here for at least 10 more months and then there are days like this one where the sun is bright and warm and it brings little birds into the trees outside my window. there is something so satisfying about playing around with symmetry, testing out boundaries of negative and positive spaces ~ i've always found a lot of value in looking for meanings outside of representation in art. Shapes like these are like simple sketches of the mathematical complexity of organic forms that occur naturally i'm at a point in my life where I don't care for anything to be perfect anymore, i'd rather take perfect things and degrade them until they fall apart https://instagr.am/p/CK6t3f_glFr/

i love small things so much. Getting down close to the ground and peering into tiny spaces. Imagining looking up from among tall blades of grass, or finding an overturned flower pot and climbing to the top to get a view from far above the ground and soil ~ what a wonderous sight it would be to come across the massive carapace of a long dead beetle, hollow eyes and new sprouts of grass growing up between it's limbs. https://instagr.am/p/CKjNwEkg3aP/
