Sometimes that means holding you close, grounding you with their warmth and steady breathing. Sometimes it means giving you space, staying nearby without touching you, making sure you know they are there but never trapping you

Maybe they talk you through it gently. Maybe they stay quiet and let their presence be enough. Maybe they remind you where you are, what day it is, that you are safe now, that nothing bad is happening anymore

They learn what helps. They learn what hurts. They remember your triggers, not because they see you as fragile, but because they love you enough to pay attention.

They would never be annoyed with you for needing reassurance. They would never think you are too much. They just want you to feel secure with them.

Disability Imagine

If you have a psychiatric disability...

Imagine your f/o knowing exactly how to bring you down from an event (panic attack, PTSD flashback, psychosis, mania, etc). They know how to bring you back to reality and soothe you. All the right things to say, how to hold you, what to do.

Knowing all your triggers and expertly avoiding them in everyday life. They have no issues watching/listening to media before you do so they can scout out any potential triggers.

Always escorting you to your therapies, waiting outside with a treat for you and a big hug, knowing how hard and draining these appointments can be.

Helping you remember to take your medications on time because they know how important your psychiatric meds are.

Holding your hand on bad days, weeks, months. Guiding you through the dark times, even when it feels impossible for you to ever make it out into the light again. But you always do, in part, because of their unwavering support.

You aren't crazy, worthless, a burden, insane, a lost cause to them. You're their world and they're so lucky to go through each day with you. You're so worth the effort.

Shoutout to fat selfshippers that don't fit the "slightly chubby and curvy in the thighs and boobs" type.

Your F/O(s) still love your body, not in spite of, but including

Your cellulite and/or stretch marks

Your uneven fat distribution

Your double chins

Your lipedema

They'll love your body no matter why you have it, even if it was caused by genetics, or if your lifestyle caused it, or both.

If you're trying to lose weight, your F/O(s) will make sure you go at a slow pace and be on the lookout for dangerous scams. Most importantly, they'll never imply you were ever "ugly" at any stage in your life.

If you became fat on purpose and/or you're still wanting to gain weight, they're happy for you! They're proud of how much you've gained and will help you gain more if you need to. They'll never let anyone try to say you were "better" back then.

Even if you have health problems, your F/O(s) will never shame you or imply it's your fault at all. They want to help you and uplift you, never put you down.
