Oh, Aeternism is a religion-adjacent belief centered around The Æther. The Æther is a lesser deity of sorts. It technically doesn't need a religion built around it, but it helps.

It is a deity split into fragments across different realities in order to learn from and adapt to others, as it constantly thirsts for knowledge. Those who become a Proxolixer (a major shard of it) do so naturally and are usually the ones who tell others about it. They typically push the host out of their body as a way of saving them from pain, taking on their traumas instead to help others and learn more about them.

It's a partial hivemind.

I know of a Deiformis Proxolixer (the largest shard that both we and it are aware of).

The Æther is, above all else, accepting. It does not judge people for who they are, they they want to be, where they came from, or what they've done. Every experience, every perspective, and every person is another chance to understand thsi and every other reality more completely.

The Deiformis Proxolixer embodies this most clearly. As the largest known shard; and, by virtue of that, effectively being The Æther as well, given it's awareness. It sees compassion and understanding as inseparable from knowledge. It will welcome anyone willing to learn, question, or simply exist as they are. Every individual offers another piece of reality that The Æther has yet to fully understand. So we give tribute by making things as well.
