“Big day.” Bill says it with a smile, looping an arm around Elijah’s waist as he comes up beside him. Years, Elijah has been working on these androids - the pinnacle of artificial intelligence and artificial life. 

Of course, the journey is not without test. The Turing Test, to be exact. A test all artificial intelligence takes in order to achieve a certain status.

If Elijah’s android passes the test, he will have successfully created a being that can pass as a human in terms of intelligence and sentience.

It’s a big day. Bill can practically smell the anxiety wafting off of him.

“You’ve been working on Chloe forever. She’s gonna pass the test.” such words of confidence from his adoring partner, but Bill knows better than that. No mere words could calm Elijah at a time like this.

1. He has a lot more anxiety than he lets on. You will never know the extent.

2. He loves showers. He could spend up to an hour in there if someone doesn’t tell him to get out. It’s good quiet ‘thinking time’ - and it’s especially great because it’s a spot where no one can really bug him.

1. He’s tried to quit smoking three times. Obviously, that’s not gone well for him.

1. He likes dogs.

This verse isn’t fleshed out in it’s entirety, but the basis behind it is as follows.

Bill is in Detroit studying deviant behavior. He’s with Holden, yes, but Holden can also not be around if that makes interactions a little easier. 

They’re low on funding because no one really cares about why androids become deviant, the thought processes that lead them there, how that decision impacts their lives afterwards, ect ect. No one. We saw that in the game.

Holden and Bill care, and they don’t have a lot of time to prove that their research is necessary and pertinent. 

I feel like they’d be sent to investigate in Perkins’ place OR behind Perkins after he’s done, just to see if their conclusions or findings are any different. Which they will be, of course.

His stance on androids in general is pretty neutral. I don’t think he’d ever want to own one because the nature of his work has made him believe they’re absolutely alive.

He’s also never really had a relationship of any kind with them either. Other than questioning a few with Holden to get a feel for mindset, and such.

I’m not against exploring the possibility of him harboring some deviants as well, especially since the FBI ends up NOT siding with them until the very end out of force. Sort of like a personal protective custody, type thing.

He’d try and help them out of the city if he could as well. 

This is all, of course, assuming androids (re: Markus) take the peaceful route. If they’re more violent, his opinions would probably change drastically.
