So, I'm really out of it today so I probably won't be replying for a while (I have guests coming over for a week so....). Amity would be the first to admit that she wasn’t sure how to be in such a crowded, social situation, expected to focus on just one person, one vignette in the room. But damn, she’d try. Grinning wide, she approached the table. “Hello! I’ve been doin’ well, thanks. How are you? Working hard, hardly working? A mixture of the two?” She sat down in a chair across from his, setting her purse aside and taking off her sweater.
Courfeyrac chuckled, realizing how much he had missed Amity's humor, "Probably both," He said with a smile, "Oh! And I'm treating. There's no possible way that you come out of this building with a receipt, alright?" Courfeyrac had thought about this and knew that she would want to pay, "So, S.H.I.E.L.D. treating you well?"
Maria stared at the agent a little bit longer, before answering his question. “Up in DC. If you have any problems, I’m the one you tell.” She said firmly, waiting for his reply.
Courfeyrac raised his eyebrows, "Right, okay." He nodded, "So you probably know where my next mission is, right? That's why I asked for Fury, we had a meeting later today."
Heh… That sounds cool. …You any good at hand to hand combat then or do you prefer to use water pistols?
*laughs* Well how do you think I get away? Hand to hand combat is my second in command, if you will. If I can't blow it up with a grenade or shoot it, I usually have to kill it myself.

So I have to go to swim practice (yes, the mun swims. That's mainly why I put Courfeyrac in the water division...) and I won't be on until tomorrow. So, I'll reply soon! Love ya! You guys are awesome!

Amity was able to snag his number before heading off to the lab, where she was, of course, chastised for being late. She was a bright individual, never mentioned anything about her being punctual all the time! After a few days of not running into Agent Callaghan, she shot him a quick text to see if he wanted to meet up later that afternoon if he wasn’t busy. Much to her delight, he agreed, and as soon as she was out of the lab for the day, she was off to the coffee shop in town.
Courfeyrac will admit, he's not a dater and has never been. He doubted that this even counted. He still was excited, none the less. He had been at the coffee shop for a little over three minutes, but that was fine, considering he had arrived ten minutes early. Surprisingly Amity walked in seven minutes earlier than Courfeyrac excepted she would. He stood up to greet her, "Hello, again!" He smiled, "How have you been?"
