After they fall

“Twenty hours after the massive meteor shower which illuminated the whole globe, experts are still perplexed and looking for an explanation as to why no satellite could forewarn this shocking event. A lot of theories are emerging on the internet: The fall of a spy satellite, missile trials gone wrong, and of course, E.T invasion and the end of the world.”

“A bit late for the apocalypse dude.”

CNN seemed to be the only TV station in ICU, and there was only a limited amount of explanation about an impending apocalypse that Dean could hear in a day. Before the presenter could speak of the incredible number of hysterical, confused, or amnesic people admitted to hospital, he muted the TV. After the panic of the fall and the emergency room, the calm of ICU was a blessing. Well, if that term wasn’t obsolete. Dean was not ready to think about the metaphysical consequences of the angels’ fall.

“See that Sammy? Full color apocalypse on TV. Better than Armageddon.”

No response. Sam was lying on the bed exactly like when he was deposited there half a day ago by two orderlies, white as the sheets.

The image was too similar to the one in Cold Oak so many years ago for Dean’s peace of mind. Fortunately - or unfortunately - the beep of machinery was here to prove that his brother was breathing. But he was still helpless.

“Really Sammy, it’s bad manners sleeping through the end of the world’s second coming. I’m not going to make a deal every time you want to play Sleeping Beauty!”

“Mr. Plank?”

In another place, and another time, Dean would probably have tried to seduce this tall black lady. Or at least crack a joke on the less than sexy scrubs. Now, there was only one thing she was useful for.

“Doctor? When will Sam wake up? How is he?”

“Well… We’ve run a number of tests on your brother. Full coma without accident isn’t frequent, not when you said he has no notable antecedent.”

Except going back and forth to hell and trying to pass God’s trial. Dean was sure it was not what she expected for “antecedent.”

“Are you sure your brother has no known medications? Or addiction?”

“Sammy is cleaner than a nun’s ass. What’s the problem doc?”

“Your brother has an extremely disturbed EEG. Alpha waves totally blown off the scale. If you want, his brain is in full gear, totally anarchic. So far, no drug has managed to calm it.”

“… Which means?”

“We don’t know when he will wake up, or if he will. And in the case it happens, there’s a possibility that your brother’s mind won’t be there.”

“No way.”

“I’m sorry.”

Taking the clue, she exited, leaving Dean alone. He gathered Sammy’s hand in his. Last time he had held his brother’s hand, it was small enough to disappear between his palms.

“No way Sammy, no way. We didn’t stop the trial for you to become a vegetable here.”

Don't worry, i personnaly fear nothing about thoses hate message, they can send me plenty of them if they feels like, i don't care.

But it's not like that for a lot of people, so i hope you are ok, i also hope all the readers here are ok. It's difficult to me to talk about this in my native language (french), so imagine talking about this in english ! I would like to say many things, but i'm afraid to make mistakes.

And you know what ? The person doing this must be someone really pathetic. And sad. All that anonymous person (maybe they are many ? I think it's a bot) in christmas time, all they have to do is sitting at their computer and sending hate to people fighting. How pitiful is that ?

But no holidays for me, i'm french and we don't have celebrate thanksiving and don't have holidays for that ;) Same goes for halloween that jggirl greated me last time and that i forgot to answer sorry.

(Before i start : Remember that I’m not a native english speaker, so excuse me if the text is a bit weird but it’s difficult to me to talk about something serious like that. )

Honestly ? The answer is “i don’t really know”. Here in France, they here is law about it, and we are allowed to draw parody. So, even if it’s serious, is considered as “a parody” and it’s ok. For an american show, i don’t really know, but i think the true question is “do i earn money with it ?” and the answer is no, and i think it’s the most important. I don’t earn money about this, i’m just giving the possibility to people to have a paperback version of a free online comics.

I think it’s a good time to talk about how many comics were sold : There is 25 comics sold on lulu. For the CW and Supernatural ? It’s nothing. For me it’s amazing to know that 25 people loved that fancomic enough to buy it, but that’s not the point. Usually, laws are kinda flexible and shit get serious only when you are seeling a lot of stuff and earning money, and it’s not the case here.

It’s the same about dojinshi in Japan and so on. Here in France there is fanzne and some of them are comics and drawings of already existing show and comics / manga and they don’t have any problems. I think it’s similar with all thoses redbubble shop where you can buy Supernatural mug and shirt made by fanartist and there isn’t any problem about copyright too (Even if in this case they earn some money on it)

(If someone know about the situation in the american state and is more informed about it (and more fluent in english) be my guest to talk about it in my ask box ! )

Conclusion : I will say i’m not really “in the law”, but i’m not a delinquent either.
