A long-held dream of mine has finally come true.

To share the things I love, the things I make, and the things I collect with people around the world.

Yesterday, I shipped my very first Etsy order.

I hope the new owner enjoys it.

I'm so happy that today I'm celebrating with a dorayaki.

This is my grandmother many years ago.

I love colorful things with a sense of transparency.

These are vintage beads made by Okura Toy.

I was born in Japan, and many years have passed since then.

When I was a child, I grew up in a home where many popular TV shows, manga, video games, idols, and variety programs were not really part of my life.

So my small joys were different.

I loved watching foreign films dubbed into Japanese on television, peaceful animations like Disney and Doraemon, and magical girl anime.

From kindergarten through middle school, fitting in at public school with those differences was not always easy.

Everyone watched the same things, shared the same excitement, and saw each other every day.

The MGM version of The Wizard of Oz, Return to Oz, old British Cinderella films, and the Little Women movies from those years were especially precious to me.

They felt like friends.

Even now as an adult, I still sometimes find myself unable to connect with certain things that many people in Japan seem to love.

But growing up, I realized that people like that are not actually so rare.

And now, these days, the things I am most fascinated by are handmade creations and imagination.

This week's main project is building the foundation for my game book.

I'm turning imaginary item materials into a database.

I really wish Affinity by Canva had a record-based layout feature for card creation.

Something perfect for making board game cards with automatic numbering and database placement.

On weekdays I work at my regular job, so I only have time to create things on weekends.

But I want to finish it.

One of my favorite things is creating objects inspired by things I saw in dreams.

But sometimes, inside my favorite drawer, I find labels I’ve never seen before, or strange little parts that clearly are not made of resin.

I make small things in Japan. Mostly paper scraps, labels, strange bottles, resin trinkets, and unfinished game books.

I have never met Obaba-sama, though I occasionally find traces of her in my atelier.

Recently, something strange has been happening.

Whenever I fall asleep while working on my game book, I wake up to find new pages added to the item catalog.

I have no memory of drawing them at all.
