Ok, So I got the idea from the amazing @mushymushflower and So here it is. A headcanon about Sirius, the reader and a thunderstorm c:
So, everyone knows Sirius is an animagus- more specifically an animagus dog for pete sake.
The poor kid probably stands behinds his friends during any particularly loud pranks and jumps when fireworks go off.
However, the one thing he hates the most are 100% natural and almost completely unavoidable.Â
Thunderstorms. Dudeâs got astraphobia- yes I googled it.
Now, I love the vision of him like getting a jump scare and literal mid jump, heâs doggo.
Anyway, he totally hides under the blankets at night during thunderstorms, tell me otherwise.
Like I can see him usually going to Moony for comfort, because Moony has a similar fear, but once you join, he tries to act all tough about it.
âAre you gonna need my bed tonight, Padfoot?â âNo.â âWhat? But the Daily Profit says itâs gonna storm tonight.â âI donât care.â â⌠What?â âStorms donât bother me.â ââŚ. You bloody lier.â âShut it, Moony.â
Heâs such a dork about it too. Like James, Peter, Remus and you are watching Sirius sit there during dinner when the storm is raging and heâs totally shaking but just says heâs cold
And then when thereâs a big boom of thunder and he whimpers and his knees hit the underside of the table you offer to comfort him in the dorms.
So you guide him to the dorms and rub his back and hold his hand the entire way there.
He just doesnât like loud noises and a storm is NOTHING but loud noises and itâs mean
And he tells you that on the way up to the boys dorm and you tell him thank you for telling you
He literally drags you to his bed and climbs under the blanket and curls up and just covers his head with the pillow to try to soften the noise.
So you sit on the bed after pulling the curtain across to give you two some privacy
And you lay on the bed and put like a muffling spell up so the sounds are softer, but not gone
Because you wanna show him rain can be nice
No one should be scared of things they canât control⌠But I guess thatâs why we fear them, huh?
He peaks out of the blanket and sees you making little projections with your wand and you mimick the storm visually and just enjoy the view
And he sees the stars mixing with the rain drops and the suddenly thinks itâs beautiful.
Like heâs just gazing up at it and scooting closer to you to lay his head on your chest.
âItâs pretty, isnât it?â âYeah, I guess so.â âIâm glad you think so, Padfoot.â â.. Iâm thirsty now.â
Sure, this doesnât fully cure his fear, but it definitely helps.
And he secretly looks forward to rainstorms and heâll never, ever, ever, ever admit it.
Oh and now he probably has a major crush on you so good luck with that chaos.
