So for one, the “pony race” is called the Heart Ponies or the Ponies of Heart. This is because of their magic being heavily based on passion or their special talents.

Ok, also this is for anyone who is caught up on my lore, cutie marks have no longer disappeared. I’m changing that to better suit my new story!

However everything I edited about them stays the same:

🦄 Like the magic of Equestria, unicorn magic is powerful and versatile. However, you really only have a specific toolset related to your cutie mark. This also goes for Pegasi and Earth Ponies.

🪽Pegasi flight is fairly limited until they discover their cutie marks, and even then, their strength as a flyer is dependent on what their cutie mark is.

🌱For Earth Ponies, their magic is usually a bit more subtle. An earth pony whose passion lies in teaching might have more energy than another pony, and perhaps an uncanny ability to read minds. Or maybe a pony who takes care of plants can sense the health of a plant just by being near it.

Finally, Cutie Marks are a bit more vague than FiM. They are a manifestation of a pony’s true passion. They are actually born with the marks, and it serves to guide them towards who they are meant to be. Sort of like symbols of the future. A pony whose passion lies in performing music might have music notes as their mark, but it could mean anything when they are a filly, like writing songs, playing piano, etc.

So in case you don’t feel like zooming in and trying to decipher my terrible handwriting (absolutely no shame in that), here’s some of the details I have for these little sheepies:

- They float a bit above the ground

- They kick their feet like they’re swimming when they move

- They contain expert knowledge of many different topics in their wool. The symbols in the wool indicate the general topics in their wool, and you can peruse the knowledge of you put your face into the wool. However it’s not instantaneous, you have to actually “read” and remember what you see.

- They don’t speak aloud, but instead use telepathic communication with all creatures.

The Dream Sheep are under the rule of the Moon Cows and are often taken advantage of for their knowledge as a way of taking over other lands.

The “Great Sheep of Fortune” is a blessed Dream Sheep that has the knowledge of the future in their wool. This sheep is kept in the capital of the Moon Cows, under the watchful eye of the Queen. (The black sheep with the stars in my image is my beta design)

I wish there was a way to organize all my lore corner bits so it wouldn’t be hard to people to catch up on all my additions. If anyone knows how best to do this, please let me know!

I don’t have much in the form of worldbuilding for these guys yet, just a cool idea. I imagine that either live in a Savannah-like environment or (something cooler) a secret cave within the mountains (ala the mountain trolls from Hilda) where they can eat gems to their hearts delight, safe from the conquest of the Moon Cows.

When I started drawing their heads, I realized that they weren’t far off from how I drew dragons, so maybe there’s something cool I could do with that.
