I'm open to the possibility, but I won't chase after it.
Pursue it. If it scares you, pursue it even more.

Always.
Seem to be my favorite band right now. Smash Into Pieces & Masters of Prophecy.
I've decided to shift my perspective on job searching.
Rather than applying to get accepted every time, I'm going to challenge myself to get 50 to 100 rejections this year.
Two reasons:
#1 ADHD and RSD -- I'm trying to work through it, kind of like exposure therapy.
#2 The more I do something, the more likely I am to get a handful of acceptance/interviews at least out of 50 to 100 attempts.
Here's to remembering to check back in once I reach 50 and again around 100.
Wish me luck 🤣
If your parents don’t understand your work, if they don’t support or read it: I’m so sorry. And congratulations: you’re free. Parental indifference is a great gift for a writer. You can’t buy that kind of privacy.

I've seen this everywhere, from social media to Pinterest posts to blogs and even legitimate academic work being accused of being AI.
It's wild. I can't wait for this ridiculous AI bubble to burst.

A part of me would like to try Substack as a creator again.
But I still feel rather hesitant, as I’ve witnessed the good, the bad and the ugly on this platform during my previous attempt over a year ago and since returning as just a reader.
I’ve also had other people on social media share their own unpleasant experiences. I also know that every platform has its pros and cons.
I’m just not sure if the "bad" and "ugly" are a sh*t sandwich I can tolerate.
As to the sh*t sandwich concept -- IYKYK.
Medium seems slow in the growth, almost as slow as Substack had been, but I also can't post video content directly not my own podcast or other content besides writing as I can on Substack.
I'm also wondering if it'd be another place to re-post Patreon and personal blog content to create another community building touch-point. Perhaps a potential income stream eventually, but I'm not concerned with monetization until I know it'd be worth trying again.
Hence the waffling.
I stopped waffling, because with my current injury/issue, I'm couch locked for the rest of the week at least.
So, while my kitchen refurb is at a standstill until the weekend (annoyed af about that) I'm focusing on writing for my blog and did the Substack thing here.
I have little expectations this time, compared to the first.
My blog takes precedence in terms of effort and focus, but Substack may be worth developing for the discovery and community aspect.
We'll see how this goes.
