My first Mother’s Day was absolutely perfect, just like my little guy. Pharaoh, you are my everything and I have so much pride in being your mother. Blessed doesn’t even begin to describe how truly lucky I am to have you as a son. Just in these past 10.5 weeks I’ve fallen more and more in love with you with each and every second that passes. I have found my true purpose in life and that is to be everything and more for you and my family. I vow to do everything I can to make sure you have a happy life like my mom did for me. I have a new found appreciation for not only the role and real ness of becoming a mother but the true unpredictability that pregnancy and labor alone can honestly be. I thought I grasped the depth and pride, the love I have for my child but this experience puts it all into a whole new perspective and meaning. From the moment I heard his cry for the first time, after going through what we’ve gone through together over these last 10 months, nothing compares to finally having you in my arms.
