Guys...I'm not dead. See? Here's the evidence. I just completed an internship at an aviation startup that shall remain nameless!
I should explain ORM:
ORM is short for Operational Risk Management. When you are undertaking an "operation," you want to mitigate risks that may arise from the situation and conditions under which you are conducting your....y'know. Your operation. There are several things that can affect an operation and they are all outlined in this comic.
I decided to make a comic to thank my coworkers for my internship experience. In this fictional scenario, we checked all boxes for fulfilling conditions that affect ORM. (This would never happen IRL!)

Training me
Ok this past week I had more work to do than hours in which I normally work. So I tried a technique of "do work in the evening time."
I'm not a fan
You see, evening time is when the sun goes away and it gets dark. The hours are indistinguishable from one another because there are no visual or audio cues to tell you what time it is
This week I'm going to try a new technique which is called "get up early and work in the morning"
I will be encouraged by the strengthening sunlight
It will be a race against the birds

Oh boy no sleep!
I was cool to myself and decided to drink a huge thing of caffeinated tea yesterday afternoon. I'm not sure how many hours of sleep got charged to my account but it wasn't more than 4 and was probably less than 4.
How does that bode for my midterm today? well....we'll see
First midterm tomorrow
Breaking the seal on midterms with my Acoustics and Noise control midterm!
Here is the breakdown:
-I'm allowed a two-sided cheat sheet
-The equations can be typed
Basically the whole class is equations so I'm kinda good, and while I SAY that.... I'm remembering that I tend to make a lot of really stupid mistakes and assumptions on tests. So I'm predicting a score of B.
LET'S SEE HOW SHE DO
Whoa this is crazy
Ok I'm over a month into school now. I don't know how people do it, but taking 16 credit hours while working a few shifts at the makerspace a week leaves me absolutely no room for anything else. I'm dreading what will happen if
No seriously here are some things that I literally have no time for:
-basic chores: (dishes, laundry, grocery shopping, meal prep)
-body maintenance (showers, sleeping appropriately, eating appropriately)
-money maintenance (budgeting, paying bills/fines, car registration)
-any side project (this comic.... lol) Crossing my fingers I don't get sick (but I know it's gonna happen)
Temptations to fill the void
I should draw comics instead, right?
work vs school
which one do you think should design airplanes?
The one wearing hammer pants, right?

1 Year of Undergrad to Go!
I really want to take another foreign language while I'm at school but.....there just aren't enough hours in the day!
Sayonara, Business Casual!
My co-op was 3 rotations long. For some reason, I packed away my hat, but I still had a huge drawer full of t-shirts that I never wore because they were too informal for work.
But because I'm at school again for at least another year, MY HAT RETURNS!

You don't actually need a good reason to ask to check out the cockpit
I could have been more clear: at the end of a flight it is possible to ask to check out the cockpit! (especially if you identify yourself as an aviation enthusiast) Yes, even post-9/11. Obviously they could still say no for whatever reason, but the pilots I have talked to are all too happy to explain what some of the doodads do and answer some questions.
