Henley Reeves (Hufflepuff)

Specialty: Counter-jinxes & Potions master

Warm, loyal, and fiercely protective of her friends

She once invited Daniel to the Slug Club party; he foolishly refused, so she took someone else, leaving him to sulk in the corner for weeks

Merritt McKinney (Ravenclaw)

Specialty: Natural-born Legilimens, Master of the Confundus Charm and Occlumency.

Spouting absolute nonsense in Divination class just to mess with the professor. His greatest joy in student life is knowing his Potion grades were always just a tiny bit higher than Daniel’s.

Jack Wilder (Gyrffindor)

Specialty: Defense Against the Dark Arts. One year below the main trio. Absolute Quidditch prodigy.

Thought becoming an Animagus was the coolest thing ever, but swallowed the mandatory Mandrake leaf three times and finally gave up. His Gryffindor housemates still don't understand why he spends 90% of his time hanging out with Slytherins.

Lula May (Ravenclaw / Transfer Student)

Arrived in Jack’s 5th year

Brilliant at Quidditch and nasty hexes.

Animagus: A beautiful, loud magpie. Her favorite activity is crouching in the trees to spy on the Slytherin Quidditch practice and screaming at the top of her lungs to scare the chasers off their brooms.

Dylan Rhodes (Slytherin)

Mature, capable Prefect. One year senior to Daniel (who has a ridiculous, unprovoked rivalry with him).

During the Triwizard Tournament, he was in charge of welcoming the Beauxbatons guests and met the brilliant Miss Alma Dray.

* Before Lula arrived, Jack was the absolute baby of the team.

Merritt would secretly teach him illegal, underhanded tricks to bypass Quidditch regulations.

Henley gave him unconditional comfort and let him whine about training.

Merritt grumbled incessantly as he parked the truck, complaining that they had zero consideration for the elderly, actually having the heart to make him drive the entire way from Italy. In the back, Jack and Lula had torn open all the boxes, swimming and messing around in a literal sea of chocolate in the cargo hold. Lula casually scooped up a piece, ripped open the wrapper, and dangled it from his lips. Jack leaned in to snatch it, but Lula dodged with a teasing laugh: "Wait, are puppies even allowed to eat chocolate?"

Catching onto the joke, Jack immediately pounced, biting his lover's lip in playful retaliation. Just then, the cargo doors swung open, and the embracing couple was instantly swept out onto the pavement by a tidal wave of red-wrapped chocolates. Henley stood off to the side, laughing out loud as she reminded them to wipe the smudges off their faces.

Daniel just sighed at the childish couple, utterly exasperated. Still needing things on his own terms, he crouched down and thoroughly inspected the pile, eventually pulling out the most presentable piece. With a smooth sleight of hand, he slipped it into Henley's pocket, forcing out a reluctant, "Happy Holidays.."
