Dante took the iced coffee and pressed it against the back of his head, sighing at the cool sensation of the cup against his sore spot. Inhumans healed quickly, but apparently that didn’t extend to knocking your head against stuff. 

“I think so. I didn’t know you had a twin sister, though,” he joked, smiling over at her. 

She only rolled her eyes as she sipped from her drink, still the smile on her face was there. “So how have you been, besides being my soft landing cushion?”

“The X-force. Take a healer, someone who doesn’t handle death well, put him on a team where he has to fight, to kill to survive.” He looked away from the girl. “Not everyone’s a good fighter but we all had to try.”

“Oh.” She had some knowledge on the team. A mutant black ops their now former leader approved. “Yeah, I can see how that’d be bad. Still, did you get to save some people along the way? I feel like it’d be in your nature to help people and even if it was your team mates that had to have counted for something. ...Sorry, its probably wrong of me to assume that. It just reminded me of the militant mentality we had under Hope.

“Thanks,” said Roxy, following Laurie. “Last time they stole something from me, I found it two weeks later, soaking wet on the bathroom floor. Hopefully we’ll be luckier this time.”

“True.” She laughed as she took his hand and got back on her feet. “I’m not in any hurry back just yet though, this place looks kind of nice.”
