"Spicy?" He was merely passing buy when he'd heard the other, but he paused in interest. "What's spicy about it? No one's doing anything exciting." He'd tried. People here weren't up for it, it seemed.
“Not yet, perhaps,” Aeolus couldn't help the way his lips tilted up as he thought about it. “But there are so many juicy outcomes that could come out of something like this. I'm eager to see how it all unfolds.” Aeolus nods his head with a cheeky grin. “Eager to see just how…Messy people get. Before and after the arena and games.”
Persephone raised a brow at the man's comment. "If you think a few reapings are spicy then you should get ready and hang on tight." She murmured, but wouldn't offer anymore than that. She knew exactly who he was, who the Flickerman family was. A bunch of gossip driven people.
Aeolus grinned and shook his head. “The reapings themselves? No, probably not as spicy as I wished. But the aftermath? Now that's going to be tasty.” Aeolus let a grin wash over his face. “Because if I have to go back to my district with the person that sent me into a game? Oh, I might be feeling a type of way.” Aeolus said with a shake of his head and a chuckle.
"It appears that things are already getting a little spicy. And the games haven't even started yet." Aeolus had a grin on his face as he said this. Relaxing against a wall as he let himself truly just relax for a bit. "Can't wait to see what shenanigans we get up to this year."
Aeolus takes a deep breath as he prepares himself to shoot the impromptu video. He was a blogger, practically a online celebrity, and a sponsor himself. News, drama, such as this? Needed to be responded to as swiftly as possible.
BREAKING NEWS: Quarter Quell or Quarter Cruel?!
Aeolus lounges in a crimson velvet chair, sipping a sparkling drink the color of static. His hair is perfectly tousled. His expression? A perfect cocktail of shock and amusement with the way his lips are quirked up. Aeolus turns to look at the camera, and his smirk widens into a smile. "Well. My darlings. They’ve done it again. Panem, sweetie, let’s not mince words. President Snow has dropped a bomb so spicy, I had to pause my appointments and gossip time just to come make this video. Because you know that Aeolus Flickerman loves to be the first on the scene." Aeolus laughs and winks.
"Every district victor will personally select one boy and one girl, as young as twelve, to be reaped for the Games. Not random. Not volunteered. Handpicked. By the people who survived. Are you clutching your pearls yet? You should be." Aeolus says with a laugh.
"Because what this Quarter Quell is going to do? It's going to cause drama. Whether people are itching to get into the game, or itching to avoid them." Aeolus laughs and shakes his head before offering a big grin on his face.
"Sources say that some victors are quite thrilled with this power. Some? Less-so. But, alas, our dear President Snow has given the responsibility of reaping to the victors. Except they won't be reaping lives like a good portion of them did in their games. They'll be reaping candidates for our entertainment."
"But me? I’ll be watching. Popcorn in hand. Emotional breakdown eyeliner pre-applied. Ready to report the deets to my fellow darlings. Because while the tributes will kill and be killed in the arena...the real games start the moment the victors choose."
