Marceline is on a top-secret mission tracking Maja the Sky Witch. But when she loses the witch's trail, Marceline turns to Princess Bubblegum for help.

Princess Bubblegum is seen wearing earrings in the episode.

There is a black totem can shaped liked Finn's hat. There is also a totem which resembles Gork.

Finn was not able to fight the sleep gas even though he can fight mind control.

In the Treehouse, a nuclear bomb can be seen on the shelf.

It is revealed that out of all the MO bots, BMO is "one-of-a-kind". BMO means "Be More" which is the title of the episode.

It is also revealed that BMO's programs are in the ".exe" format, the file format for Windows programs, but also in ".dmg" format, the file format for Mac programs; meaning he is a multi-platform system.

Furthermore, the various MOs can read .MO files, as seen when BMO is downloading the map of the facility.

When Finn and Jake fall through the factory floors, they pass a purple bed emblazoned "AMO" on the front. They also fall past the BMO port. 

There is a large indent in the metal door to the room of the BMO port.

When Finn jumps into the room with the MO ports, the port for AMO is somewhat visible, it appears to have the same shape as BMO, but is larger, and seems to have two sideways horns protruding from both sides.

BMO can be turned on and off by pressing the up on the D-pad and the triangle button.

When Finn, Jake and BMO fall to the final level, CMO makes another cameo appearance, falling on the SMO's heads.

The first place the group crashes through, before the B port, looks an awful lot like a fallout shelter; complete with dust, cobwebs, and mysterious chemicals in spray bottles.

BMO's interface is similar to an Apple computer's.

One of the files BMO has is command.electricslide.exe, a reference to the popular dance the Electric Slide.

When Moe re-powered up BMO after fixing him, the old Apple start-up chime plays.

This also happened when BMO had his batteries re-inserted in "BMO Lost".

Rebecca Sugar helped write the episode when it was originally pitched during season 3.

The episode originally ended with Moe telling Finn, Jake, and BMO that they needed to leave because he needed to use the toilet.

Additionally, the scene where Jake pretends to be an SMO originally had Finn in the SMO's body, using his stomach as a face.

Storyline analysis

Jake is sick and tired of Finn using his body as armour, so he convinces Finn to trade places to show him how much it really stinks to be in his place.

Trivia

This episode's title is similar to one of the scrapped episodes, "Jakesuit," which also involved Finn wearing Jake as a suit.

The Jakesuit has no tail unlike in "The Silent King."

It's revealed that T.V. still lives with his mom, and that he can speak English as of this episode.

Finn last wore Jake as a suit in the episode "The Silent King."

This is the first time Jake shows he knows the Baby Finn Song; previously it was only seen within Finn's mind as in "Memory of a Memory" and "Goliad." However, it is unknown how he knew this.

The Clown Nurses from "Another Way" appears at the end of the episode to help Finn and Jake recover from their burns. Finn's horror and Jake's delight with the nurses also appear.

As revealed in "Puhoy," rainicorn children age quickly, all of Jake and Lady's children have moved out into their own places except T.V.

Storyline analysis

Due to the fact that Flame Princess gets angry with Finn for embarrassing her without doing any more than yell, she has probably gained control over her anger. She had a much larger reaction in "Incendium" when she caught people whispering.

Flame Princess also made a point of inviting "less evil" members of her family, backing up her statement in "Vault of Bones" that she prefers good to evil.

Starchy asks Princess Bubblegum to use magic to cure him of his sickness, but she does not believe in magic.

Trivia

Princess Bubblegum considers Jake's shape-shifting powers a mutation, instead of actual magic.

Finn never told Abracadaniel that he was Magic Fist, yet Finn assumes that he knows him.

Cultural references

Finn describes a wizard spell called "Entanglement", a spell very similar to one used by druids in the popular MMO, World of Warcraft.

Finn talks about this in response to Princess Bubblegum's observation that the wizards' magic are based on "entanglement principles." This is likely referencing quantum entanglement.

The scene from this episode where Bufo is connecting stars on a chalkboard has a hidden Star Of David.

When Finn puts on his wizard costume, he has the Eye of Providence on his forehead. The eye, most commonly associated with Freemasonary, is sometimes said to be the eye of God looking down over mankind. It is part of the Great Seal of the United States and on the back of U.S one dollar bills.

The battle of stabbing of two enemies with the contestant's hands tied may be a reference to the tradition of gangsters and criminals to settle disagreements. Several of these battles were shown in the Filipino film Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story.

When Princess Bubblegum and Abracadaniel fight, one can see a character in the crowd who looks like Torcho from "Ignition Point."

A guy from the cafeteria resembled the Cosmic Owl, which was first seen in "Prisoners of Love".

This episode's original title was "Only Wizards Allowed."

Despite being the 26th episode of season 5, "Wizards Only, Fools" is not the season's finale.[3] It is one of numerous season 5 episodes produced after September 2012[citation needed] instead of with the rest of season 5 in the recently passed summer, listed as a "season 5.2" episode.

When the cats are in the suits with a suitcase, this is similar to the character, Business Cat, from Our New Electrical Morals.

In the Candy Drugstore behind Ann there is katakana (Japanese) on the glass that reads "ファーマシー",  meaning "pharmacy."

Lemongrab 2's teeth have many times been seen to be sharp, but when they were fighting, they became blunt.

This episode was originally titled, "Another Five Short Graybles."

Storyline analysis

The theme of this set of graybles was the five stages of grief. The first grayble is acceptance, the second is denial, the third is bargaining, the fourth is anger, and the fifth is depression.

Finn accepts a delivery from Jake, Cinnamon Bun denies sleeping without a nightlight, Ice King bargains the penguins to watch a movie, Lemongrab gets angry because the little doll's head broke, and Mr. Fox said look at that depression.

Each stage is verbally referenced except for anger. Finn said "acceptance" when signing for the package, Cinnamon Bun said he could not handle this "denial" of light, Ice King said he still had one trick up his sleeve "bargaining", and Mr. Fox said see that "depression".

Jake Jr. gets mixed up with some bad eggs and Jake has to reunite with his old gang for one last job to save her.

The preview at WonderCon 2013 shows that this episode will dive deeper into Jake's criminal past.

When Jake assumes the form of a criminal, he grows a lump on his forehead.

Each member of Jake's gang has a watch which shows whether Jake needed his accomplices.

Cultural references

In the animatic shown at Wondercon, at the Squeezy Mart, Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up, better known as "Rickroll" due to its involvement in one of the most famous internet memes of all time, can be heard. This did not appear in the actual episode, however.

In the film Fast Five there was one line from Dominic Toretto to Brian "We're gonna use this, do one last job... and disappear, forever." The episode involves a similar "criminal past" (Dominic has escaped prison twice) and pulling off a job with the help of "a team", to steal the vault of Reyes' money.

After always losing fights with Finn and Jake, and always trying to win the love of Princess Bubblegum, Ice King gives up and throws in the towel after another scheme fails.

The Ice King does everything possible to ruin a princess potluck he believes he didn't get invited to, and uses a variety of tactics in attempt to do so.

This episode marks the first time Finn calls Ice King by his initials as 'IK'.

Finn first said to Skeleton Princess: "Hey you..." the most likely cause of this is because he doesn't remember or recognize Skeleton princess.

Even though the Ice King caught some rabbits, they were never used due to them stinking up the sack they were carried in.

Aspects of this episode hint that this episode occurs at the exact same time as "BMO Noire":

Finn is missing a sock and Jake has a lipstick spiral on his face and has long eyelashes, which matches up with the events of the former episode as they leave BMO alone in the house.

By the end of the episode, Jake has an arrow on his head, and Finn is carrying The Sea Lard, which is how the duo appear when they return to the house just as BMO finds Finn's other sock.

Finn's scream from "Burning Low" returns once again. 

The Squirrel from "The Duke", appears once again, shooting Jake with an arrow continuously throughout the episode.

The Ice King has a similar hat to the one Joshua wears.

The premise of the story, an adventurer/explorerlike person dreaming or living out another, more familial life is similar to the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "The Inner Light." Additionally Jonathan Frakes, who starred as Commander William T. Riker in that series, provides the voice of older Finn. A stark difference however between the two episodes is that while Captain Picard in the episode retains his memories of the alternate life - even learning to play the flute thanks to it; Puhoy is ambiguous as to whether Finn remembers or not.

The Pillowcronomicon is likely a reference to the Necronomicom, the fictional grimoire that appeared in the stories written by horror writer H. P. Lovecraft and various films such as The Evil Dead.

The little door that serves as the entrance of Pillow World is very similar to the little door of Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland.

This is the second time a knife storm occurs. The first time was "Rainy Day Daydream."

Finn appears to have a pillow-like robotic arm replacing his right arm. He previously envisioned himself with a robotic arm in "Mortal Folly," "Who Would Win," and "King Worm." Farmworld Finn's right arm is also robotic. Likewise, in "Wizard" his right arm is transformed into a sword.

BMO and Jake both mentioned his kids for the first time since "Jake the Dad."

BMO has his '#1 MO' cup from "Video Makers".

The music playing when Finn and Roselinen are about to dance Is An Instrumental of Ice King's  "Let Me Show You Something Special" Song from the episode "Princess Monster Wife."

In "The New Frontier," Jake says that after he dies, he would transcend to Glob World and have a meeting with Glob. In this episode, when Finn dies, he comes across a being resembling Glob, named GOLB.

Errors

During the final scene in the Pillow-world, Jay's wife switches placement around the bed, first next to Jay, then next to Roselinen.

When Jake is fishing for his mug the flower on it changed to the other side. Also, the hole in the window and the window have changed.

Finn's sword hilt changes when he is at the party.

During the scenes Finn is chopping wool, at some point he's not wearing the sheath.

Ice King creates a computer virus to delete everybody except him and Princess Bubblegum.

Trivia

This episode features a modified CGI version of the opening sequence. 

Finn seems to be using a different sword in this episode.

The snail appeared two times in this episode, the first was in the computer PB was destroying, and in the credits. Both snail appeared as a part of the universal source code.

The Glitch resembles the Ice King's head.

Finn's hair seems to have regrown to the same length from when it was first shown. For some reason, when they got back to Ooo, it was the same length as the Mirror Finns in "Gotcha!"

At the start of the episode, when Finn and Jake are making an animation, Ice King has spiders and a snake on him, which, later attack him in the episode.

Finn is slightly taller in comparison to Princess Bubblegum.

Cultural references

Some of Finn's expressions are widely used Internet emoticons.

The video of the girl gagging herself with her hair is an actual video by David OReilly, available on his YouTube.

The computer used by Finn and Jake resembles an Apple Macintosh Computer.

The disk that Finn and Jake received from Ice King was an old discontinued disk named a floppy disk.

Episode connections

This episode, like "Guardians of Sunshine," stands out as it features the utilization of CGI animation. Also like "Guardians of Sunshine," it does not feature the words, "Adventure Time presents" on its title card, and the opening credits are given an episode-themed style.

The Sugar Cube guy calls Mr. Cupcake Todd. This may be a reference to "Video Makers" where Mr. Cupcake plays the role of Todd Johnson in the movie.

Errors

When Princess Bubblegum goes to hug Finn and Jake, the back of her hair is colored red.

Mr. Cupcake is much smaller than his previous appearances.

This is the first Adventure Time episode to be released on April Fool's Day.

This is the first episode to have a trailer that does not have any clips from it in it; instead it's clips from other episodes saying the following: "Warning, we can't show you anything at all from the new Adventure Time. It's just too crazy, man! Yeah, get your eyeballs ready for the most amazing Adventure Time you have ever seen with your eyeballs, but, um, we can show you this scene from the new Regular Show."

This episode was leaked before its intended airdate.

This is the only episode to be completely 3D animated (courtesy of David OReilly), without any 2D animation whatsoever.

Trivia

Marceline is seven years old and Simon is forty-seven in the flashback in this episode meaning that their current ages would be 1003 and 1043 respectively. This would also mean that Marceline was exactly 1000 and Ice King was exactly 1040 at the start of the series.

Simon calls Marceline "Gunter" with the crown on. Later, toward the end of the flashback, he does this again with the crown off. This is an indication that Simon has fallen deeper into his transformation into the Ice King.

The mutagenic effects of the Mushroom Bomb/Mushroom War can be seen in the appearance of creatures oozing green slime from open pores throughout their bodies.

The Chinese characters 水 ("water") and 人生 ("human life") appear on a bottle inside the first car Marcy hides in. In addition to this, in the upper-right-hand corner of the broken television, the Japanese characters such as テレビ ("television") can be found.

Simon has drumsticks in his backpack, hinting that he already knew how to play the drums.

By the Clambulance when Simon looks down to find a radiated creature below the truck, the registration plate of the truck says "CLAM 1" "The Wut-Wut state."

Marceline does not have a bite mark, cannot fly, eats soup instead of the color red, and can withstand exposure to the sun.

Cultural references

Ice King sang the song "Where Everybody Knows Your Name," the theme song for the television show "Cheers." He likewise calls out for Norm, a character on the show, and re-enacts an episode.

After singing the Cheers theme song the first time, Simon said "Filmed before a live studio audience," a quote commonly used by announcers of live television shows, most notably in Cheers itself.

The red car that Simon puts young Marceline in is a 1970 Nissan Skyline GT-R "Hakosuka". A brief shot shows the "R" badge on the side and an even briefer shot shows the "R" badge from the front. It is interesting to note that the car is left-hand drive, whereas the real car is actually right hand drive.

Ice King and Marceline were revealed to have known each other from hundreds of years ago in "I Remember You."

This episode was first aired as a two-part special with the previous episode, "I Remember You," similar to "Bad Little Boy" originally airing with "Fionna and Cake."

The grape soda can that Simon finds bears a striking resemblance to the one Jake uses to feed the princess plant in "Death in Bloom."

Errors

When Simon was going to hit the monster with his crown, he was holding it backwards but when he hits it, he is holding it forward.

The drumstick in Simon's backpack with tape on it switches sides when Simon is talking to Marceline about wanting to carry her.

When Marceline is talking to Finn and says "He's very dear to my heart" her bite mark seems to be farther towards the back of her neck than usual.   

When Marcy says "Simon you promised," Simon's crown is missing a gem.

Inside the soupery, when Simon said "We're getting out of here!," Marceline's and his reflections were not shown in the mirror.

When Simon and Marceline were on their way to the bridge where the clambulance was, the remote she stepped on and the big crack on the wall that was seen when Simon carried her were not there.

The Japanese characters were not seen in the upper-right-hand corner of the broken television until Simon realized Marceline was sick.

Storyline analysis

Marceline now seems to feel more comfortable around Ice King since "I Remember You" (where she tells Ice King not to come around her) as this time she invited him to come over and also told Finn and Jake about their past.
