The tinies bird has been coming two days in a row to say hi in the morning and I feel blessed.

I am done with the first reading of all the materials for my history of libraries and reading class! I somehow did it way more quickly than planned, which is great. The only thing I haven't really watched yet are the powerpoints used during the lectures, but I'll do that once I am reviewing everything. I am now left with booking the exam and actually studying for it, which means a lot of rereading my notes and reviewing out loud. I will have to do a big planning session one of these days (probably tomorrow). Also the new All Time Low album just droppend and my little heart is full of love, I cannot wait to sit down and listen to it in peace.
Productivity:
posted this book review
finished reading and annotating La Lettura by M. Vivarelli
wrote the first draft of the review for that book
also edited a couple of posts that should be out in a few days
read and annotated the last article I had to study for my history of libraries and reading class
finished writing a letter to my penpal
practiced Irish on duolingo
updated my reading journal
wrote a bit
Self care:

hi. advice for someone who dropped out after their second year of uni due to crippling depression and feels like everything is lost and hopeless now haha?
not a trained professional so very likely this is not helpful or something you already know, but focus on getting better first, once you have a firmer foundation try again (uni, a job, or something entirely else). That might sound unattainable and suffocating right now but just try to take it one step at a time (for example your first step could be reaching out to a friend or even a mental health professional, something that feels doable and gives you a direction), you do not have to have your life planned out years ahead. Nothing is lost, there are different ways around and through this and just because it may take five steps instead of a single one it is not worth less

AFRICAN & BLACK PHILOSOPHY: Getting Started
Hello everyone! As many of us who study philosophy in some form are likely aware, people of color, especially black philosophers, are radically underrepresented in the field (composingĀ only 1.32% of all philosophers in the US). In order to combat such marginalization, and in attempt to help amplify black voices within the field of philosophy, I have complied a series of links & information here for learning more about African/black philosophy, especially within the US. Please feel free to add to this post if you feel that anything is missing, esp if ur a black person!
Overview:
According to Wikipedia.org:Ā āAfrican philosophy is the philosophical discourse produced by indigenous Africans and their descendants, including African Americans. African philosophers may be found in the various academic fields of philosophy, such as metaphysics, epistemology, moral philosophy, and political philosophy. One particular subject that many African philosophers have written about is that on the subject of freedom and what it means to be free or to experience wholeness.ā
