Tumi's Adventures

I’ve been absent for a bit but my boys are doing good!  Tumi is still very opinionated and loves to boss us around. It’s sometimes a bit annoying but it’s also really funny sometimes! Also, he’ll be 13 years old this year! OMG 

Here is a picture of Tumi stretching!  Tumi has arthritis, we found that out at the vet the other day and he now has meds for it. 

Neró is turned 7 in March! Neró likes to sleep in my bed and cuddle with me all the time. He loves to held and carried around. If you don’t mind, I’ll be calling him my son from now on. Bc he thinks he’s my baby and tbh, he is. 

🎂  Today is Tumi’s 11th birthday!  🎂 

Happy birthday old boy! I hope I get to experience many more happy years with you, and the past 9,5 years have been amazing. I may sometimes wish you didn’t bark so much at the seagulls, because you’re loud and you’ll never catch them anyways, unless you somehow magically grow a pair of wings overnight. I hope you don’t. I like having you here even if you can be annoyingly loud sometimes. 😄 

Flashback Friday to earlier this summer, my little sister giving Neró cuddles!

He’s always getting into fights with Nökkvi, my big sister’s 7 year old Border Collie. It’s not that weird actually. Nökkvi is used to visiting our house, has done so for years, and since Tumi has been spayed he gets along with pretty much any other dog ever, even when they show up at our home just like that. But Nero definitely isn’t spayed, and he isn’t going to be either, and of course he didn’t know when he got here in December that every now and then this older and bigger (also not spayed) dog would arrive and walk around our home like it’s his own with regular intervals. Nero thinks he should be superior since he lives here. Nökkvi thinks he should be superior since he’s older, and been here longer though he doesn’t live here. So they argue. And today they got into a fight, my sister arrived at our house at the same time we did, let Nökkvi out, and when I was opening the door, Nökkvi burst inside before even I could step inside (which is rude from a dog, so I wasn’t very pleased either), to Nero’s much displeasure. And so they fought, and both got hurt, nothing serious, but Nero suffered a small wound, a cut or something on his front leg, and Nökkvi got bruised somewhere. 

We will find a way for those two trouble-makers to lay down their swords against each other. I’m not worried yet, since I know Nero is more neurotic than Tumi, and he is recovering from going from one home to another, and has only lived with us for less than 4 months. He might still be a little nervous we might abandon him too. Which we are not going to. Ever. Tumi was also a wander-dog as I call them, also had gone from one home to another before coming to us 9 years ago because of the situations of previous owners. Dogs who are adopted into this family will only be carried out in a casket after dying from an old age after living a long and happy life and that is a promise I will never break.

Went with my boys on a good walk the other day! We live 4 minutes away from that view in the first pic, and that road leads to the beach, on which Tumi is in the second photo. The beach is a popular dog walking place, and the boys met a puppy, who believe it or not, tricked Tumi into playing with him! My old guy! That was a proud moment haha  😄

We went for a little road trip today and had lots of fun!

Nero looked so handsome and ready for the trip! (He and Tumi were tied down in the back, nothing but security for them of course)

We went to my aunt’s summer house where her and her husband, me, my parents, my other aunt and her husband and of course the dogs, met up. My aunt has an Icelandic Sheepdog of her own (Elding, a bitch, who happens to be Nero’s biological cousin). Tumi and Elding are best friends from having known each other for the most part of their lives, and so there was a party! 

Meanwhile us humans shared this delicious feast!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! These two have started a thing where they always sleep in the same room. They seem to be most comfortable that way. They are so cute.
