Different people in different parts of the world can be thinking the same thoughts at the same time. It’s an obsession of mine, that different people, in different places, are thinking the same thing, but for different reasons. I try to make films which connect people.

I’m half child half ancient.

I loved to sleep with the window open. Rainy nights were the best of all: I would open the window and put my head on the pillow and close my eyes and feel the wind on my face and listen to the trees sway and creak.

Do not fall in love with someone who doesn’t cherish the smallest parts of who you are, because that’s what makes you, you. And if they can’t love that, then how can they love you at all?

I’m always the one who loves more and that scares me the most.

If there’s one thing you need to know about her, It’s that she’s broken. But she doesn’t need you to fix her. She just needs you to love the broken pieces.

If you want to feel younger, all you have to do is wait to have a crush. Trust me, it’s like you’re 14 all over again. It’s exciting and frustrating and embarrassing. But damn. It’s the best kind of high. The best.

People only tell lies when there is something they are terribly frightened of losing.

I like it when somebody gets excited about something. It’s nice.
