The inner artist was stirred- and this time with a new identity…
You see it has been years since I truly abandoned art, sure I still did it, but it became generic and weak, there was no progression or effort put in to work on honing better skill.
Since my laziness consumed me, I indulged in simply surrounding myself with artistic ideologies through all elements one would not necessarily define within the confines of art-
These elements were human rights, law, politics, economics, math, science, human interaction…
To me, art became creating progressive policy within realty ie. Liberating oppressed peoples, curing an economy and listening to the minds of the people than focusing on the power of the self
It comes as a surprise to be stirred all of a sudden by this woman; Marina Abramovic or art in general- for a while I have felt like the rest of the population, the generic spectatpts, the ones who are not artists themselves but do feel moved by the works they witness
- and when I see marina Abramovic I see a substance so deep that I can not control the neurons slowly plotting a come back- you see I have seen this women multiple times prior, she is wonderful, but today she became an instigator of my awakening.Â
I see myself working hard at uni, yet living a peaceful double life retiring at my desk etching meticulous beauty into the world around me- it is meditative and natural, there is no purpose to it, it simply ‘is’.
It is peaceful, gentle, flowing up on me like a sweet symphony- it does not frighten me or demand of me like it used to. Â My young mind was not used to the energy it created within itself, now my mind has become accustomed to its workings and the projections around it, this is the awakening.Â
