My work in progress for Just a Man (Antinous Reprise)! Took a while since I did this in the very little free time that I have after work. I tried to mimic Duvetbox art style because I feel like they have the best design for Antinous. (I'm still waiting for their "Hold 'Em Down" animatic. I've seen the WIP frames) The singer and lyrics are by Ayron Alexander that he posted on his TikTok. Now I gotta take a break from drawing and actually study for my recertification exam.

Warriors Role Call Test Animatic
Made this animatic for the 12 people who liked my previous Warriors post. I used a lot of references for the character designs (previous post). Ajax and Cowgirl gave me the most trouble drawing since I don't really draw reptiles or bovine. I chose these designs because I thought these would be the most likely animals to appear in a city like New York (city rabbit, city coyote, etc); Cowgirl and Cleon are based on their names. Bluebiscuits on Youtube taught me how to do the simple and fast animation tricks. This took about a month to create. My old laptop is on its last leg and I'm not sure if I'll be able to make more animatics (darn you cost of computers/computer parts/everything!). Plus, my job takes up a lot of my time. So if you don't hear anything from me, that's why.

Warriors Musical
Characters for the Warriors Musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Half of these characters have animals names so I pictured them in my head as animals. Others animals not included are a chameleon, Europeon badger, snake, and hyenas. I used Arizona and Kitty as character references. I've never drawn reptiles before so Ajax was the most difficult to come up with. Designs will change, I just want to get my ideas out of my head and onto paper. Hopefully I'll be able to make an animatic with them all.

Animatics going forward
I know I've been gone for a while; decided to take the summer off. I turned off comments on my videos because someone accused me of tracing without giving credit. I didn't trace. I did use references from other videos online. And that person didn't bother to look that I did give credit to those videos that I referenced in the original post. As I stated before, I'm a beginner and I'm learning this on my own. My response is in the screenshot. As I am writing this, that user has still not given the same amount of critique on the other video that I mentioned the same way he did on mine. Yes, that comment did bring me down, even though they stated that it wasn't their intention. Also, as I'm writing this, they still don't post videos online for their mental health. At least I'm trying to put my work out there. There are plenty of other videos they could watch and ignore that my work even exists! Moving forward, I'm still making animatics, I just won't post them. I might make a Patreon for the people who are interested in my work.
Not Sorry For Loving You Animatic
I finally finished 'Not Sorry for Loving You' full animatic! It took me about 6 months of working on this in the evenings and weekends while working my full-time job. This animatic froze my computer a couple of times. I was so scared I was going to lose all the progress that I made!
I jumped around on working on different frames so that's why Calypso's design isn't consistent. The original Calypso design is from CariAntiDraws on Instagram. I just simplified it down enough so it would be easier to animate. All of the references were from various Epic animatics online. The one frame of young Calypso sitting on the tree is more of my natural style; no reference for that. I referenced Zieru, fernadadiazartwork, ambersonic96, Krieo, and clover all from Youtube. I can't draw from my mental library of visual knowledge. I taught myself how to draw by looking at people's art work online and drawing it in my sketchbook one to one. And I'm teaching myself how to do this time consuming process to save some time. I still had to draw out each frame. I edited this in Adobe Premiere Pro on a library computer so I didn't have a lot of practice with that program since it's new to me; I'm not paying money for Adobe products and my computer isn't able to download DaVinci Resolve. Guess I gotta look for a new computer now...

The game would change if I had a proper animation program….Krita wasn't working out, too poor for Adobe's pay-to-play program. Frames drawn in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro's Flipbook. Asha in her dress that Star made for her. Her other hand is in the dress pocket. I tried to mimic krixartx88 art style for painting the dress and as a reference. I'm still a beginner at shading and highlights. This is based off of orbitalmoonrat's animatic "At All Costs" I did a small doodle about a guy giving a girl a ball gown dress with pockets and this is what it turned into. You're not getting any more from me out of these two.
