I'm curious, what caused you to create a tumblr blog??

I'll go first: i saw so many tumblr posts on pinterest that i decided to go straight to the source. also, tori spring and her blogging!

i kept getting tumblr posts on my pinterest, and a lot of the creators that I watch were on tumblr back in 2014 and 2015 and everytime they talked about what it was like being on the site back then, i felt I would love it since it was like fandom related and not based on another algorithm.

so i got the app about a year ago and yeah I don't regret it, like at all!!

honestly, i downloaded it first because of those posts on pinterest about supernatural & destiel but i never used it and didn’t even decorate anything, but then i watched dead poets society and was super obsessed so i HAD to check if tumblr had anything for me (it did and now i’m obsessed with anderperry)

this is probably dated back early last year lol. and now i’m here guys :p

Honestly the Pinterest posts about the owl house is what brought me here originally about 6 months ago but I took me a hot minute to actually set up my blog and start actually interacting on here because I was in an interest slump but someone recommended Lockwood and co and dead poets society and I got officially hooked

I’m actually super glad to be here it was really hard for me to find fandom spaces but I feel good here

I was inspired to create an account bc….honestly I kinda don’t remember why I think it was so I could bother my best friend but I didn’t actually tell her I made one until like…months later- so I think it was so I could get more Pjsk content

It isn't such a complex thing, I used to have TikTok (I deleted one of my accounts recently when my mom started to use TikTok because I don't want her to see it) but you can also find a very old account called @/kami.__.yamazaki 💀

I started to feel bad using TikTok because the algorithm never liked me a lot and it was very hard to make my videos reach people, when my videos started to receive a cool quantity of likes I deleted the app after trauma stuff happen with a virtual friend that I used to chat with on there.

I passed ±1 Year without any social media, someday (this year) my brother/qpp/best friend started to use Tumblr and he looked like he was having fun, so after feeling kinda distant of him I created my own-

I definitely can't say that my posts reaches so many people (excluding some memes I made in the very beginning, I'm planning to do more because it's funny, you can find these in the tag #starlight trying to be funny) but I'm happy because I made friends that I'll definitely remember forever of them.

Well, my reasoning was basically the same as op's... I used pinterest a lot and a lot of the funnier posts were from tumblr- so I thought "wow tumblr is like funny gay platform" and even though I doubted that affirmation a bit, I decided to install it so I could get the posts right from the source

Got what I wanted AND made some really cool friends along the way :3

Also I always liked fandoms and such so to find out this place is basically home for fandoms was great! + Y'all are accepting af I never thought people could be so tolerant istg
