I work at a coffee shop and have gotten all my co-workers to start calling lattes “hot milkybois”
I also got everyone to refer to the salted caramel blended drink as “the big salty” and I consider it one of my greatest accomplishments
Oh yeah and any time someone orders a hazelnut latte with almond milk (which specifically is a weirdly popular drink) I say “one HOT NUT latte coming right up!”
My coworkers have not latched on to this one like they did with the others for some reason.
I forgot to mention I also pronounce “hot chocolate” like “hot cocklate”… because I’m awful.
please give us updates
Our largest drink size is affectionately referred to as “Texas Size” so sometimes when I hand it out in the drive-thru I like to say, “Here’s that TEXAS SIZE [drink] for ya, YEEEEHAW!”
And some people look at me as though I have just made their entire day while others look like they they could not possibly get away from me soon enough. Both reactions are equally satisfying.
I made this into a game except when I hand out the Texas-size drinks I say “Can I get a YEEHAW?” And the guests always look mortified but occasionally one of them will let out a terrified “yeehaw” and all my coworkers cheer and then we keep a running tally of how many yeehaws we each get on the back of a pastry bag.

My friend and I went to The Egg House in New York a few days ago and it was so cute there! Not worth the price though lol but the people we met there were so nice. And I’m going back to Chicago for two weeks! Can’t wait to see my family and friends and eat my favorite foods again from the city (๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)

Being an Irish woman at the minute is actually terrifying don’t want to leave the fucking house
I am about an inch from smacking someone so im going to use this as an excuse to give out about the arseholes involved in the referendum. This has been a completely divisive fking disaster that did nothing but hurt people.
Why are arseholes walking around the street stopping people to tell them how to vote? Why those people pulling down each others posters? Why are those people shouting outside hospitals? Why is every feckin form of media spammed with their ads?
This maniac shite isnt our culture. I cannot wait for the referendum to be over. What a disgrace. If anyone reading this has done any of the above. Fuck You!
I’m actually kinda nervous about flying home tomorrow. I’m coming home to vote, obviously for repeal. But like everything that’s going on makes me really anxious, I’m planning on sticking a thing on my bag that shows why I’m coming home, but I’m full on expecting to be yelled at… That’s not how i want to be preparing to return my own country.
I’m not a woman so I’m not going to pretend I can understand the fear of being assaulted in our streets but I just want to add some calm to this post. The two horrific murder cases are completely unrelated to the referendum. Cervical check is a cover up scandal, false negatives were always expected.
On the streets this debate has been alot less divisive than in the media and online. I walk in town 2-3 times a week and turn down leaflets from both sides by shaking my head or saying no thanks. Both the Yes and No campaigners have been nothing but respectful in how I’ve seen them treat everyone in town. Door to door canvassers leave once you tell them you won’t be voting the way they want. There are minorities on both sides though in my experience mostly the No side who have resorted to less tasteful tactics like campaigning outside maternity hospitals.
People in town are all wearing badges (mostly yes) and ive yet to see anyone so much as comment on anothers choice.
I havent seen anyone become aggresive with those openly campaigning on the streets. You shouldn’t fear wearing a simple badge or putting one on your bag.
While the murders and cervical check are unrelated to the referendum, my point is that all of it happening so close to each other has been an overwhelming experience and that is reflected in a lot of what women are sharing about how they feel right now including my post. Also while it’s good that you haven’t experienced any difficulties in wearing your badges or jumpers in town, I and people I know have and that’s what I was posting about.

alcohol culture is so wild…people all over fb will be sharing a meme like “i can’t have just one glass of wine, it’s always 2 bottles and 3 people i can never look in the eye again” as if that’s normal? but if a meme like that was going around about cocaine or any other drug, everyone would be like “sounds like a drug problem bruh”
alcoholism is SO normalized and it’s such a toxic environment honestly
This article is a fascinating and horrifying observation of alcohol culture in present-day America – especially in the context of women and the “wine mom” attitude seen on Facebook in particular. It’s one of the most eye-opening things I’ve ever read, tbh.
people: omg how are you single????
me *internally*: because i have deeply rooted emotional issues and a debilitating fear that im not good enough for anything
me: guess I just haven’t caught my fiSH yet! haha reel one in for me if you find one, sharon!!
there’s something deeply dystopian about a rich white man forcing employees to show patriotism within a sport made up of mostly black men on a weekly public stage
sorry, i’ll put it in plain speak. so, like, you remember when katniss
Nathan Leone // Madina Lake 31-5-2017 From Them, Through Us, To You 10 Years Reunion Tour
A few weeks ago, we exhibited at Emerald City Comicon. Typically when we attend conventions, we try to create some spectacle that captures people’s attention and sells games. Like the time we brought a marching band to PAX Australia.
At ECCC, we set up a “Pay What You Want” booth and encouraged people to give us any amount of money in exchange for our games. We put games on a table, set up some signs, stood off to the side, and waited to see what would happen.
We brought 2000 games. Before the convention began, we took bets on what would happen:
Tom thought we’d sell out in a few hours.
Alex thought we’d run out on the of the second day of the con.
Trin thought that we would not run out of games because we are no longer cool or relevant.
Jenn got a fever and didn’t know what was happening.
We were all wrong.
The doors opened, and attendees swarmed the booth. Within five minutes attendees realized they could just take games and walk away. A small group grabbed armfuls of free games and left, but most people paid something. Within an hour, the booth looked like this:
We ran out of games in 51 minutes.and made $8042.48, or 18.7% of the games’ retail value. In other words, we lost $685.44 per minute.
Attendees put lots of other stuff in the payment box too.
Some things you put in our box:
Five Canadian Dollars ($3.72 USD)
Ten Euros ($10.66 USD)
Eighty Philippine Pesos ($1.59 USD)
One Chinese Yuan ($0.14 USD)
One Cubone Pokemon Card, XY Breakthrough (Avg price - $0.68 USD)
One Magic: The Gathering Eternal Masters booster pack wrapper (No Value)
One handwritten “Any Pizza Free” and “Twisted Flicks + KPC” Coupon from a Papa Murphy’s in Kirkland, WA (Estimated Value $25.00 USD)
One $1 Bill folded into a bowtie ($1.00 USD)
One “FeelTheBurn.org” $1 bill. ($1.00 USD)
Two halves of a $1 bill ($1.00 USD )
Once we sold out, we had to figure out what to do with our booth space.
On Saturday, we gave our space to artists who weren’t able to get a table at the con. People showed up to exhibit cosplay horns, board games, recycled journals, and comic art.
On the last day of the con, we set up a station for mailing letters to representatives.
We provided pens, paper, postage, envelopes, writing tips, and the address of every US Senator.
Over 200 letters were written by con attendees, including the most bad ass Imperator Furiosa cosplayer we’ve ever seen.
We’re still waiting on Immortan Trump’s response.
cards against humanity is run by the pure force of chaos I stg. I like what they did with their booth after tho
The definition of chaotic good
