Song recommendations from 28/09/23:
- Electricity - Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark - a beautiful song in its craft of instrumental, which stands out to make the song stand out. Has a type of youthful energy to it that I love and the lyrics itself has a meaning. That 80's vibe though really makes the song nostalgic, the best thing about is that it is from the 80's.
- Either Way - IVE - this was a beautifully mournful song of the youth. The cinematography in this mv was absolutely gorgeous and fitted the vibe of the song tremendously well. This is what ballads should sound like. I also love the fact that the words fit to the members in this song and the meanings behind each of the different parts of the MV. Truly a masterpiece, once again IVE did not disappoint.
- Wasted Summers - juju<3 - a song that perfectly depicts young romance or young friendships. Summers with others that you care about that just go too quickly, I feel like also making his little sister sing along gives the song more power, emotion and puts greater meaning to the song. A beautiful experience to listen to.
Hello peeps! Sorry that I've been gone for god knows how long. But I'm back. Well not exactly. Let me explain. So recently I started Sixth Form. Which is like a big deal for me since my A-Levels will get me to the universities I want to go to. Sixth Form has been a really busy at the moment. I wanted to take a few weeks to get used to it and then post on here. However, I was thinking about posting on Sunday's and then I realised that I actually have some upcoming exams in 2 weeks time. So I need to start studying for those as well. All I'm saying is I want to have a strong start for Sixth Form. My school does promote in having blogs or whatever in your spare time. So I thought I might put some time when I'm free to post on here! Maybe in 3-4 weeks time I might post. Hopefully. Cause I really do want to continue this account.
A few changes may be made though:
- This account will no longer be just for K-pop. I will make song reviews for any type of music. So K-pop fan or not and you want to make me a review of a song. I happily will.
- Album reviews will not be often. I don't have the luxury of that much time in my hands to listen to a whole album anymore, as I explained above. This may come like once a month, so rarely.
- This account will have recommendations and why I choose these as recommendations, I used to do them in the start of this account but stopped. This will be 3-5 recommendations each week, in which I will update on a Spotify playlist. This may come on Thursday's.
- I will only be taking requests for songs not albums. If my curiosity peaks, I might listen to the album. But unsure if I'll make a review.
That's about it. I might post some song recommendations on Thursday's then but actual reviews won't be happening until around the 15th October - 22nd October unfortunately.
Again, sorry for this long hiatus but life happened and we all grow and we lose the time we previously had when we were younger. I want to put as much effort as possible to this account because I know that next year I'm not going to be able to. I cannot promise to you guys that a hiatus won't happen again. Cause it probably will, possibly with other upcoming exams or I'm just busy or I'm having a difficult time, etc. Just please understand when it does come to that. Once again, sorry for being gone for so long without any explanation.
Getting my exam results tmrw and I'm scared as shit for it...

Album ranking post #1:
Initial thoughts (May 1st 2023): this album and all of its songs have something to offer to any different type of audiences. However, these were clearly made for the fearnots and the fearnots only.
Final thoughts (June 23rd 2023): I still stand with the opinion that there is a variety in the album tracks and each song is different which leads to appeal to different types of people, so maybe it's not just for the fans. It mainly is, but not completely. However, there is a huge inconsistency within the album tha could have been better executed, also there was no reason to add the other songs wich were literally the same just adding a (2023 version). There was no reason. I know it was done so there wouldn't be a recording of garam but, girl was proven innocent like nearly a year ago, so what was the reason? But, it surely does make me excited for their next comeback, because this was the end of their trilogy, I believe, so I'm excited to see what they will be able to offer us next time.
Now onto the ranking - with a few words:
1) FEARNOT (between you, me and the lampost) - a beautiful song that is so highly underappreciated in the lsfm fandom, it's insane. I have been playing this song on repeat since release. Because who doesn't love depressing songs yk? Atm, I have to say that this is my favourite track from lsfm's discography so far. The emotion is felt through their vocals and that's probably why I instantly fell in love with this song. 10/10
2) Eve, Psyche and the Bluebeard's wife - so fucking catchy. Also on repeat. Tbh, when I first listened to it I was slightly unsure but it's amazing. But, I just know that "I'm a mess in distress, but we're still the best dressed, fearless say yes, we don't dress to impress" is going to stay iconic. 9.5/10
3) Unforgiven (feat. Nile Rodgers) - tbf, I was surprised no one was making a big fuss that Nile Rodgers was a feat in this song because when I told my dad he genuinely freaked out. People are comparing this to unforgiven constantly to the point in which the song seems to be unenjoyable, but really this song is something to be enjoyed by itself. 8.5/10
4) No-return (into the unknown) - just a fun little song. After listening it from their concert, I was super excited for this song. It was quite catchy for the first week but afterwards I got bored of listening to it. But, it is a really sweet song and I did genuinely enjoy it at one point. 8/10
5) Burn The Bridge - genuinely makes me want to fight my inner demons (I don't have inner demons dw, it's just a metaphor). This is an intro I can vibe to instantly. The other ones that were previously released were not as interesting, this intro sounds like the intro to a long story (in this case the album), it sounds like a proper intro and I have played it a few times because it does feel quite empowering listening to it. 8/10
6) Flash Forward - it is such a cute song. I haven't gone back to it a lot, but certainly is a great song. It really depends on the mood of that day for me to listen to this. Clearly, this was trying to be similar to good parts, but good parts was way catchier imo. Also, this is a song I would recommend to anyone who likes a chill pop song. 7/10
7) Fire In The Belly - just because this track is at the bottom of this ranking doesn't necessarily mean it is a bad track. I can see the reason people enjoy it, but for some reason I don't see it. People say it's like antifragile or that this should've been the title track, but imo this doesn't have the same power and statement that Unforgiven does, and is definitely not as powerful in execution as Antifragile either, that's why I heavily disagree with that opinion. But, it's not a bad song either. 5.5/10
Overall score for this album: 8.1/10
You are flawless

How in the actual fuck is it April already???
How the fuck are we in June???
I have no idea what to post on here any ideas?
New post on my mb account!!!
Sorry I haven't had the time to post as I am really busy with exams and so I won't be active on here until June 22nd, when it will be my summer holidays. So, for now, I am going on a nearly 2 month hiatus. So sorry. But see you in June!
Same thing applies to this account as well...
Btw, this is the account that used to be called wdymlockey and now it has been changed to adotrevs, I also just wanted to put a notice that I will also be doing a review of Lana Del Rey's new album (dykttatuob) and Melanie Martinez' new album (portals) which will be published on the 5/6th April (probably 6th because they are 30 songs in total) so please stay tuned for that - below are some sneak peak of my favourite tracks from both albums.
A sneak peak:
Favourite from dykttatuob:
Let The Light In
Peppers (this is probably gonna be so long, 100% give this a listen)
Margaret
Favourite from Portals:
Faerie Soirée
The Contortionist
Womb
Also, I will be doing a review of IVE's new album around the 12/13th April as well! So a lot of content is coming, reminder that either tmrw or on Monday I will be posting a march K-pop comebacks review!

How in the actual fuck is it April already???
Expergo album review:
Young, Dumb Stupid and Love Me Like This will be reviewed at a later date with the March comeback reviews coming on April 2nd/3rd but I will give a small review below. So, we will be have only the other tracks to review here.
Young, Dumb Stupid and Love Me Like This small review: Both songs were really good and I don't understand the hate that these songs are getting. I like the vibe that both songs have.
PAXXWORD: My least favourite song in the album. But not bad either. I expected more from the song tbh after hearing bit versions of the highlight medley. However, this weird and fun concept in the song is definitely something I really like, especially as a hard core Red Velvet fan.
Just Did It: reminds me of an f(x) b-side with its electronic funky sound in the verses and the intro and I immediately knew it was going to be a jam for me. The change in sound in the chorus actually doesn't annoy me if anything I can't imagine the song sounding like anything else and Bae's and Sullyoon's voice in the song are just exquisite in this song. It is really something to listen to and I really want to see nmixx perform this as they are such strong performers and their versatility would just make the song even more exciting. I remember when I first heard this song during my Graphics lesson, my mouth dropped at the chorus. Yeah, it was THAT good.
My Gosh: a really cute song to vibe to on a Sunday morning. Also their vocals >>>> This song doesn't really sound very nmixx but the fact that they were able to pull this off so we'll just shows how versatile nmixx is as a group. I would definitely recommend this track to anyone that likes sweet chill songs.
Home: This song sounds so nmixx. I don't know how to explain it but all of the members stand out and their vocals blend into the song so well. It sounds so honest. This song, unlike my gosh, you need to scream with. You cannot just listen to it, you need to feel the song, scream your fucking heart out and all the anger and then ending with the gratefulness of even being fucking alive. Never knew I needed this song until this very day. I would literally recommend this to everyone but I have seen people don't like it which is a bit sad, because ever since its release I've been playing it to let go of my anger at the world. An absolutely brilliant way to end the ep.
Thank you nmixx for such a gorgeous album, my ears were fucking blessed.
