why does everyone in the hr fanbase hate sasha nolastname... like i only read tlg not the hr book so maybe im missing something but i have great sympathy for sasha nolastname. your dad is a hockey coach but you just fundamentally cannot fit into that world or indeed the society you were raised in as a whole. like it is in fact extremely dangerous for you to be the way you are (although your class status does insulate you some). and you have a guy in your life who is like you in some ways (queer) but also fundamentally different in that he CAN perform masculinity in the way the everyone else (and in particular, YOUR DAD) finds acceptable. and this successful performance of masculinity also gives him a way OUT of the society that doesn't want you to exist. and you sort of have a way out too (again, class) but you don't have a Direction in life you're just kind of fucking around. and your dad doesn't care because you're a failure to him and were never gonna amount to anything anyways. and turns out the guy you thought understood you - because yeah there are queer people in paris, but they don't know what it was like to grow up the way you did - lowkey doesn't give a fuck about you either when you see him again. not because he's evil or something (he isn't) but because you are a part of his previous life that he doesn't want to carry with him into the future. and on top of all this you clearly have a substance abuse disorder. like hello things actually sound extremely miserable for sasha nolastname
