Late night therapy session for 1

For some time you were the one I kissed. Now you’re not anymore. And I guess that’s how life works. Sometimes I still think about kissing you. Mostly when I’m feeling lonely. I don’t know if this means I was in love with you. But I do know I was smitten with you. You fascinated me. Your presence seemed to numb everything else surrounding me. I keep telling myself that there are plenty of fish in the sea. That’s what you’re supposed to tell yourself. And I do believe it actually. I know it. But it is as if you have infiltrated my mind. Every time I try to be open and meet someone new I keep seeing you. And how they’re not like you. But you’re not mine. And I want to be available. I know that someday I will meet someone special. Someone who is going to make me whole. Someone who is going to make forget about the rest of the world. I know it. I guess the only thing I don’t know is how to be free from you.
