Anyway happy (late) new year

His name is Franz Elles.

Later, i saw that same name again in a documentary about M.

Since they were all in M’s squadron, I start wondering if the cute guy and the grandpa could be the same person. It would feel good to know that he made it through the war and lived a long life. 😊

It’s the kind of joy I get from appreciating a work of art, bringing a sense of pure and quiet beauty.

His eyelashes are really beautiful. These high-resolution photos are taking my breath away.

They literally wouldn't have to make up all the batshit crazy characteristics and plot twists to charm the audience into liking the character, despite the fact that he was on the morally bad side of the story, because Marseille actually was a mad rascal in real life.

I honestly think that Spielberg and Hanks should dive into the deep waters of the Luftwaffe with the next piece in their WW2 series because there are so many hidden gems in there, it's ridiculous.

I know he's not German, nor can he speak the language (though, let's be brutally honest here, when has that ever discouraged Hollywood from casting an actor for a certain role, especially of this nature — most people will tell you that Ralph Fiennes in Schindler's List is the most memorable portrayal of a German during WW2), but you have Ewan Mitchell right under your nose so do not waste chance and make him play Marseille when he's still in his 20s. We all know from his portrayal of Aemond Targaryen that this man can play a morally ambiguous character.
