YOU LOVE, THEY LEAVE.
It's hard to wrap your mind around the fact, that they are gone. I know it hurts to lose someone you never wanted to let go of. To see someone leave just like that. You are still in denial. I know you may feel like it's the end of the world, but it isn't. You loved them, and they just didn't value it enough to stay. It's okay. I know winter had dawned upon you, thawing a broken heart isn't easy, efforts should never be one-sided. You know sometimes, no matter how hard you hold onto things, at some point, you have to let go, no matter how much it kills you, because you are worth so much more. It doesn't matter how many memories you have with someone, or how many years you've spent together. They can easily leave you the moment someone else comes along and never look back. How can people do this? Is it because they never truly loved you? The opposite of Love is not hating, it's INDIFFERENCE.
Don't beg them to stay. If they want to make their way out, don't force them to stay. If they wanted to stay, they would but forcing something that's not meant to be, will not be no matter how much you try. You'll give it your all and wonder why you weren't enough, but you were enough. The problem is not you, it never was. It's their inability to see the gem of a person you are. They'll have the moon and yet look for stars, so let them. When they leave, please close the door behind them.
Not everyone you love will stay, because not everyone will love you, as much as you love them. Not everyone you meet in life will stay till the end or as much as you would've hoped them to because that's the bitter reality of life. Some will leave too soon and some even though you haven't really lost them, you have because they stop caring about you. For others, even when you're inseparable, the beauty of death will make sure to separate you. People will come and go, what can we do other than accept this reality? Do not hold on to the hand, that wishes to let yours go or do not hold on to the hand, that does not long for yours anymore. You can't blame them, because you don't own anyone. Appreciate and value the ones who stay.
