Just started watching Pulse on Netflix and I'm not sure I like the way it portrays women who report sexual harassment. I'm on episode 4 and, despite it being clear that Phillips abused his position, the show doesn't seem to take a clear stand on it. It's imperative that media doesn't perpetuate the ideia that women lie about sexual harassment/misconduct. It's hard enough to come forward as it is, we don't need fiction to make it harder.

I'm looking forward to the day when my financial situation doesn't cause me anxiety e shame. By all means, I have a good salary, and things should be smooth sailing by now, but the crappy adhd financial impulsivity and lack of control keeps me self sabotaging in an eternal loop, digging a deeper hole each month, making it harder and harder to get out of it.

Iāve had a not so brief relapse that has lasted a few months. At the begginning it wasĀ āunder controlā, I would drink occasionally. Tehn only as weekends, and latedly every other day or every day.Ā
Iāve managed a year sober before and it was the best year of my life. I want to have that again, to have that sense of accomplishment and pride in myself.Ā
Today I drank and Iām not even sure why. I stopped at the supermarket after getting my nails done to buy some gloves for dish washing. I left there with 3 cans of beer, knowing it wasnāt a wise decision. I drank those 3 cans of beer and then used a friendās visit as an excuse to buy rum and had at least three doses of it. I felt like shit the whole time I drank, kept wishing I wasnāt drinking.
Iām starting this blog so I can have an outlet when I feel like drinking. Someplace anonymous where I can be vulnerable and honest without being shunned by my peers or family. Somewhere I can be honest about my weaknesses and my feelings.
