ADHD Dissertation

I just had to delete half of my posts because they contained my full name, because my Microsoft account is linked to word and excel and displays my name across the top of my documents

200 words written in an hour! Pretty amazing by my standards :D

I have no idea when reality is going to hit me. It’s two days before my bloody deadline and it hasn’t happened yet

I put a hair mask on and I told myself I would wash it out when I finished writing that section. Thinking it would take an hour or two... it’s been about six hours. The section isn’t even long or particularly difficult to write, I’m just so unfocused :(

Still a hell of a lot of words to write. On the plus side I once wrote 8000 words in one day - however, I was 15 and it fanfiction. So not directly comparable to my dissertation, but... who cares. I can do it

(Celebrating slightly because I'm not sure if I have ever written over 1000 words in one day before. It might not sound a lot to other people, but I suffer with brain fog and ADHD and really struggle with writing, so this is a really big deal for me!)

Tempted to sign off for the night as it is nearly 1AM, might give it a few more minutes though

Honestly my biggest complaint about my dissertation is that so much of it requires a lot of thought, and I am simply not capable of thinking so much in such a short period of time

It’s 11pm and I don’t seem to be anywhere close to finishing for the night. I guess I’ll just work until my brain gives up

Tbh to meet my word count by the deadline, I'm going to need to average like 300 words an hour. Which isn't impossible, but I'm struggling to even do 100 an hour, and that's when I'm writing a relatively easy part of my dissertation. I don't know how I'm going to get this done. But then again, even handing in a 70% done dissertation is better than nothing

Slightly terrified by my upcoming analysis work, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it
