You're not wrong – you're just a generation late. To vastly oversimplify, the initial wave of Jumper clones c. 2004–2006 established the basic framework, then there was a second wave c. 2007–2008 which hybridised that framework with elements of then-popular Japanese rage games, like Jinsei Owata no Daibōken, Syobon Action, or the original Kaizo Mario World trilogy; the most influential example of such second wave Jumper clone/rage game hybrids is, as you correctly observe, probably 2007's I Wanna Be the Guy. This second wave's adoption of rage gimmicks – which would gradually evolve into the genre's less nakedly player-hostile stage gimmicks – is in large part responsible for the "puzzle" element of modern precision puzzle platformers.

generally you shouldn't write run-on sentences because they get confusing and it doesn't give the reader a break. that doesn't apply to me though my run-on sentences are fun and understandable and they have a rhythm to it that makes you want to keep reading

do you happen to know any specifics about monotherapy? i didn't wanna pay extra for antiandrogens (haha I'm broke) and i noticed monotherapy being an option on diyhrt.info but from what i could tell there wasn't much information on it (I'd be taking injections if thats important)

yep, that's what I do :)

the reason you don't need an AA on monotherapy is because it works via what's called "gonadal suppression". roughly speaking, your hypothalamus monitors levels of sex hormone and, if the levels are low, it signals the pituitary gland, which signals the gonads (in our case, testicles) to make more sex hormone. this is called the HPG axis

crucially, the hypothalamus does not differentiate between testosterone and estrogen. if you raise your estrogen levels high enough, it's like "yep all good" and does not signal for more production. this is why, in the context of monotherapy, we say that your T is suppressed and not blocked: since production is being suppressed, there's no T to block.

on average, a blood level of 250 pg/ml estradiol is enough to suppress 90% of T production, which is enough to prevent masculinization.

injectable monotherapy is, in most cases, the most affordable method of HRT. a single $80 vial containing 400mg of estradiol enanthate works out to, at a typical 4/mg/wk dosage, 100 weeks (4 weeks shy of 2 years) of complete monotherapy. less than a dollar a week :)

I'm always happy to explain things to you, please do let me know if you have more questions, but I promise you the information is out there :) is it easy to understand and digestible? well. no. but it's out there!

following up on the monotherapy ask because I'm going to start soon and am both tight on money and have poor memory 1) does the shelf life of injectable estrogen affect the 100 weeks as described (i.e. will that single vial keep for long enough to get the full number of doses or will it go bad after some time?) 2) is it possible to start immediately on just monotherapy or is it advisable to start with AAs as well

store it away from light and heat and it'll be fine, a cabinet an in air-conditioned room is just fine.

I wish I could make white people(and not just white Americans) understand how diverse the pre-columbian Americas were. The history, religion, culture, politics was at least as complex as Europe's. There was the full gamut of religions, from monotheists to animists to ancestral religions. There were city building empires, village farmers, nomadic traders, and so many other ways to live. This is all just based on what we know, the fragments left behind and the stories of survivors of an apocalyptic plague. All this before the most extended campaign of genocide in history was waged in an attempt to wipe out those survivors.

Over 500 years spent trying to cut down a whole trunk of human culture.

Do you understand how much poorer our whole species is because of it? Can you imagine where art, religion, and science would be if we still had these vast bodies of knowledge? The stain of the colonial project will never be fully washed clean. We owe more than just the land to those we stole from.
