“Have you?” That seemed to get her excited, smile growing. “That’s actually great because I’m rather new at it.” She admitted and then extended her hand warmly. “I’m Brinnely but you can call me Brinn, if you’d like.”  

Dark eyes flit to the hand offered to her, studying it for a flicker of a moment before giving it a gentle shake. “I see. And which do you prefer? I must say you’re the first I’ve met with this name. So unique,” she said with a pleasant smile. “

“Blonde near the big guy in the corner. Look if ya want let me go with ya to get it back. He looks like trouble.” Cerberus slid the glass back toward the bar tender with a smile. “Let’s get your jacket, darlin’.” 

Merick had fixed her gaze upon the woman where she was, staring unabashedly across the room. But at hearing the man’s offer, she turned and looked at him, brows slightly raised and mild surprise showing in her eyes. “Kind of you. Alright.” A small, pleased half-smile appeared at one corner of her mouth and then she tore her gaze from him, set it once again upon the blonde in her camel jacket, and began walking, already choosing the path she’d take through the other patrons.

“I did, walked that way a few seconds ago, was it yours?” he asked, looking up for his whiskey. Cerberus wasn’t too sure who’s it belonged to but now he felt bad for letting the blonde walk off with it. 

“It was. ‘Was’ being the key word,” she replied before releasing a sigh. She shifted and peered through the bar’s patrons, trying to spy her camel leather jacket. She’d get it back. “Which way?” she asked, sparing him a fleeting glance, but surprisingly asking with patience.

Brinn’s eyes lightened right back at the woman, a small smile hesitantly coming out to play on her lips. “That’s right I am. You wouldn’t be… interested in that sort of thing, would you?”

Merick bobbed her head a little to the right, mirroring the woman’s small smile in affirmation. “Let’s say I’ve done some work with it in the past. But for now I’m working at the birthing center, just down the street. I’m Merick.”
