It wasn’t his idea of a good time by any means, and for every one of his peers that felt the same Isaiah was disturbed to see another that was actually excited at the thought of this little test—-the idea of having to prove his loyalty rankled; or maybe it was the idea of owing anyone other than his family his loyalty at all. He was the only Travers here tonight wearing a mask, he knew; having already made what flimsy excuses he could for his siblings (traditional purebloods still embraced misogyny just enough that his words about his sister’s delicate sensibilies were easily enough to believe—-Ruben was another matter entirely) and so he had to succeed—-he had to IMPRESS—-tonight, not only for himself but for his family. All of this while keeping an eye on Bron and Ruben—-and Adele—-would not be easy. His voice was smooth, showing none of the strain he was currently under as he spoke to the person before him, “This doesn’t have to be painful—–now, what can you tell me about Dumbledore’s Army, or the Order of the Phoenix—as they are now; I don’t need a history lesson.”

Adele had closed her eyes the minute it all started. For some reason, she couldn’t look around, she couldn’t do a thing, she could just close her eyes and follow orders. Then, there was staring. Taking deep breaths, she tried not to imagine what virtually everyone she loved was doing tonight, she tried not to truly think about it because when she did it was all too horrible. She had to convince herself he had his reasons, and her sisters did too, they were all kids. This was all mad. Crying was never something she liked to do, especially not in public, but considering the situation she supposed she’d be excused. Hearing Isaiah’s voice this way was probably what was hit her the hardest between it all, knowing that even though she wanted him to save her, have them leave this place and have her even escape -- all of them ESCAPE -- he’d never do it. He’d never been a coward like she was, he rose to this terrible occasion and still she loved him. Still, she wanted to see the best in him even when he was showing her the worst & it hurt.

Isaiah: Yellow is, ironically, not my best colour. Tell Herbert I wish them well and hope they enjoy their new life with you.

Isaiah: I'm HOPING that where you're concerned, the latter is the case; because though your taste is unparalleled, your clothing only leaves an impression on me once I've seen it on you.

Isaiah: Good to know. What sort of bargain would have to be for me to regain possession of said shirt?

Adele: I will! He sends his regards. Expect a fruit basket in your dorm soon.

Adele: You're HOPING? I don't want to crush your hope now. That is a very lovely thing to say, and that's good to know. If you'd ever like to borrow one of my pieces of clothing, you're always welcome. You're also right.

Taking her wand out of her pocket she blocketd her spell and became defensive. “Should have known yo were faking.” She quickly said off the Confundus Charm in hopes it would teach the girl a lesson. “You have no idea who you’re messin’ with!”

Getting Confundus’ was the least of her worries as Adele sat on the ground, her head between her knees. Concentrate. Concentrate. Still, even with all the mantras in the world, Adele loathed the feeling of c o n f u s i o n she felt, she couldn’t even recall WHERE she was. “You’d better leave now, even, because I’ll -- “ a pang to her forehead knocked her to the side as she threw up, “get even.”

“Don’t drink that shit. This’ll get the party started.”

“Get that nasty fucking gasoline like drink AWAY from me, Goyle, I’ve come to talk.”

“What exactly is the mission, then?” She sits up and leans in attentively, but still a bit cautious.

“The worst part about parties that the entire school is invited to—–the entire school might show up.”

“Not to mention -- virtually everything else. People still can’t dress themselves, I see. The holidays did no good.  I’m happy NEITHER of your siblings are here otherwise they’d have a riot.”

“M’mum gave me that cat. It’s the only thin’ I have left of her alright. So don’t you touch her. Take you angry ass somewhere else and pick on some else”

“I don’t have anything to do, but homework. And I’m not going to do that.”

“no, no. absolutely. of course i’m paying attention, why would you even ask that?”

“Fuck you bitch. H'bout I throw you in the bloody lake after cast a curse on your arse.”
