Days when I am not accountable,  I let myself be, amongst the Autumn leaves they grabbed me so lovingly & I let them carry my memories to wherever they’re destined to reside –

but I don’t & I won’t

for I am incapable of such a thing,

I just, question

if I love , if I love

that is my question

if I still able to love,

capable of love, 

will love, 

again, or ever 

or if love is kind enough

for me to feel it again

& to understand that

when love becomes 

so passive aggressive, 

you just have to

be the better person

&

let it go, 

like you would 

let yourself go

when you 

no longer able

to control

the flood,

that you 

cannot swim

yet still

you hope 

you will not

drown, that

the water will

be merciful

to your dear lungs –
