I know that there’s nothing I can really do over the years that I missed being a part of your life. Although there is never a day that doesn’t go by when I wish that I could go back, and prevent ever being apart from you. And I know that buying you gifts now isn’t the same, but I hope you know that I love you so much. Alex,  It has been an immense pleasure to watch my niece fall for you as you have brought all forms of happiness into her life. Something I was certain would never happen again after what happened to her. Although there isn’t much I can give you in thanks of the happiness you bring to Caitlin, I hope you know that I love you dearly, you are like a second daughter (even if Caitlin is my niece) to me, and I am happy that you are also in my life.
