 Ian Harding announces book of essays          

 In honor of Pretty Little Liars coming back tonight for a new season. I decided to sit down and finally write this. Please let me know what you think I hope you like it.

Many people have been tweeting or tumbling… that Bluebell looks like Rose Wood or that Rose Wood looks like Stars Hollow. Now I have a secret can you keep it? (PLL refrence)They are all the same town.

  Yes you read that right there is a real Rosewood Avenue in Los Angeles. And Stars Hollow is based of a real town in Connecticut. But in reality they are all located on the WB lot in Burbank California.

I will now show you how Stars hollow was transformed into Rose Wood and Rose Wood into Blue Bell.(Please message me if I make any mistakes with the pictures so I could correct them.)

First of from GG to PLL

On GG this was known as the beloved Lukes Diner. (Has anyone ever tried to count how many cups of coffe Lorelai drank here through out the show?)

   Today this set is used as the Apple Rose Grille on PLL.

Another beloved  GG building is Lorelais house. Which was also used as Sookies house. They shot it from the back so it looked like diffrenet houses. here it is as Lorelai’s house.

Today this house is used as DR. Harts office on HOD. (If you look at the sign on the left you will see it says doctors  office. This is the magic of set decorating.)g

This was seen in the season finale of PLL (Which is coming back tonight don’t forget to watch.) It is where A’s lair was uncovered it’s called the Lost Woods Resort.

It is also used as the Ramer Jammer on HOD (This is when it isn’t dressed up.If you

look at the diffrences you will see the magic of set decorating again)

      Many of you may remember the episode of PLL where lucas takes Hannah out on a boat. Here is the river where that scene was shot. In reality the river is an empty pit on the Wb back lot. That the crew fills with water whenever they need it.

This river was also used on an episode of GG. It is the episode where Jess outbids Dean for Rorys basket, and they go on a picnic. Here is a picture of the bridge they have lunch on. In the Wb back lot. (The bridge is on the left side of the picture.)

 And here is a screen cap of Jess and Rory having lunch together.

 In the pilot episode of GG Rory is still attending Stars Hollow High.

Today this building is used as Rose Wood City Hall on PLL.

This building is very popular it has been used as Chilton on GG and if anyone watched PLL last night they will recognize it as Radley Sanitrium.

A few episodes ago when the liars snuck into Melissa’s apartment and Spencer waited for her near the theater here it is before it is all dressed up .On GG we saw this set used for when the Girls, Sookie ,Madeline,Louise and Paris went to the Bangles concert. And PLL used this theater for Aria and Holdens date.(If anyone can find screen caps please share I will give you credit)

Remember the episode of PLL when Spencer went with Toby to the motel to spy on A . That set is actually the offices of writers on diffrenet shows that film on the lot.

Here is what the set is used as before it is dressed up to look like a hotel/motel.

When you watch PLL you might recognize the tree in the courtyard where the girls

sometimes have lunch that is because it is the tree where rory often studied and it is right across of where the Chilton set was. Here it is .

Does anyone else remember the episode of GG when Rory went to NYC to visit Jess?

This is the street they walked on together.

One set that was used on almost every show from GG to Friends is the church here is a picture do you recognize it. Pll fans will remember it from the pilot.

Lane and Rory spend alot of times at Kims Antiques. Today Laned house is used as Emily Fields house on PLL.

   Taylors Olde Fashioned Soda Shoppe was a big deal in ‘Stars Hollow’. But today it is used as Lucky leons Cupcakes on Pretty Little Liars.

And here it is as 'Lucky Leon’s Cupcakes’. And if I am not mistaken the exterior is now used as 'The Brew’ on #PLL.

I have a lot more I am trying to find the pictures to connect them.

like the clock from Gg next to Taylors Market is the same clock that the girls on pll meet next to in one episode.

The set for the hosiptal Hanna on pll went to is the same set from HOD and Friends used it as a hospital as well.

The building that you see on HOD used as a hospital was used as the news office where Rory on GG worked. It is also used as an airport.

The barn from Pll is the same barn that Christopher took Lorelai on a date to in GG.

Ezra from Pll apartment was used as Max on GG apartment I think.

Jennas blind school is also the radley sanitrum. You could see the gate from when Hannah and Caleb were outside and I think it was also used for some exterior shots for Chilton on GG.
