New experience unlocked: nearly passing out from heat exhaustion at a concert. In the off chance anyone here had a short woman in a black and white tank top rudely shove you aside at the Atlanta Lord Huron concert and probably caused you to spill your drinks, I’m so sorry!!! I was trying to get to the bathrooms before I hit the floor…
Plus a big thank you to the security guard who made sure I didn’t get stepped on when I finally collapsed at the door and to the concession lady who gave me free popcorn while I recovered in the lobby. Y’all were amazing <3 <3 <3

Rewatched Ace's bonus episode and something finally clicked - I feel dumb for not realizing this before, but figured I throw it out there.
The bonus episode alluded heavily to the fact that Ace killed Taylor during their final race. Ace himself says during Arei's trial after Levi is shot that he "doesn't want a third life on his hands". Obviously Levi would be the third in this scenario, Arei being the second, which leaves the first as Taylor. His gravestone is seen in Thanatophobia, Ace constantly talks about how jockeying is dangerous, and at the end of "Loser" he promised Taylor to go "all out" and actually train for once to give his rival a fair fight.
All of this leads to the conclusion that Ace is so good at his talent that if he puts 100% into it, he actually becomes dangerous to those around him.
So, if Taylor died as a result of Ace's talent, why did Miss Naegi still grant him the title of Ultimate Jockey???
What if he was granted the title BECAUSE he was so dangerously good at his talent?
Miss Naegi appeares to be some sort of talent scout, given context clues. It's implied that she tracks down people who are super talented in their sphere, and recruits them to Hope's Peak.
Is anyone familiar with the concept in the FBI and CIA that some people who have insanely high intellect or are talented is forgery or other crimes are sometimes hired by them because it'd be too dangerous to leave them to their own devices? There are multiple cases of this happening in the real world, what if Hope's Peak is the DRDT equivilant of that?
Now, if ultimate's are so otherworldily talented that they can be a danger to society, what does that say about our cast?
Remember what the rules and MonoTv say? "All murderes must be punished" and that their programming dictates they "run the killing game until the death of all participants".
In the original Danganronpa series, Junko Enoshima's actual talent is that of the Ultimate Analyst. The catalyst for her becoming the ultimate despair was that she was so astronomically good at analyzing the world around her that she could predict everything with near 100% accuracy. She grew bored with the world because it could provide her no stimuli or exitement. Her talent, unchecked, led her to tearing down society for a chance to feel anything at all.
A video by Ocean Unknown about DRDT's mysteries once talked about a hidden message in the Despair time website's code. It's since been removed, which is a shame because it was a super cool easter egg, but in essence it read as an apology from an unknown someone to a "teacher" talking about how the unknown person had experienced all possible outcomes of a killing game and the pain and despair associated with it; and how their emotions had numbed over time, morphing into complete and utter boredom. They say they're letting this "teacher" suffer for as long as possible because once they grow apathetic, they'll be trapped in their own boredom forever.
Ocean Unknown posited in that video that the speaker could potentially be Junko Enoshima or a Junko Enoshima like figure. Which, if we take this to its logical conclusion - if talents could destroy the world back then, who's to say they couldn't in Despair Time's present day???
We're aware Levi is a murderer, Arturo is somehow responsible for his sister's suicide, and Teruko's luck will richochet onto others if someone gets too close to her. But what about the others?
David is a motivational speaker. During the trial he tries to claim he drove Arei to suicide. Who's to say he didn't do something similar in the past? Words are a powerful weapon, after all. Especially in the hands of a manipulator.
Veronica is a horror fanatic. We see in Ace's execution that fear induced cardiac arrest is a thing in this universe. Someone who is so obsessed with the horror genre creating something so terrifying it can scare people to death? Her special weapon IS horror movies, they have to do SOMETHING. Besides, she is afraid of real world consequences...
Whit's a matchmaker. His job is pairing people together. No one ever said it had to be a good pairing. Hell, if he wanted to he could make a match made in hell where the people involved clash so perfectly they insure self-destruction. Also, his mother is dead but he won't admit that fact. What the heck does that even mean? It doesn't read as a lie of omission - like he just neglects to mention she's dead in casual conversation. It's almost like he either is refusing to admit she's dead because it's up in the air if she is or not, or something happened and Whit knows she dead but he refuses tell anyone... Whitney why are you like this...
Xander's entire talent revolves around rebellion. He doesn't like the moniker "rebel" but if he truly was powerful enough to inspire such change he got noticed by Hope's Peak as a teenager, then who's to say he couldn't cause a second tragedy if left unchecked???
Some of these are waaaaayyyyy more solid than others, but suddenly it makes so much sense why the killing game is taking place. Arei says in her bonus episode that ultimates can get away with anything. Perhaps murder isn't the only crime these kids are guilty of. And maybe this is the only way the powers behind the killing game can "punish" them, out in the open where there's nowhere to hide. this is televised, after all...
Anyways, what do you guys think? I might add onto this when I get more of my thoughts together, but I figured I throw this out there in the meantime : )

So what if Deltarune (the world/game) was WD Gaster's solution to the barrier? He was the royal scientist before Alphys, and she was trying to find a way to harness determination to break the barrier at Asgore's request. We know that Gaster was studying dark worlds and that he "fell into his creation", so what's to say that he didn't use the dark world to create a new reality where he and his fellow monsters lived on the surface and are happy?
Maybe he thought that if there truly was no escape, then escapism was the next best thing.
They say individuals with superhuman abilities carry a faint glow about them in the dark.
Since the dawn of time, beacons of light have been symbols of both safety and respite - in the modern day, it's not uncommon to see people with such conditions guiding others in the night, ferrying them through shadow and shielding them from those who lay in wait within.

So almost 2 years ago, my great aunt died. I inherited the responsibility of keeping her Christmas cactus alive in her stead. The original plant belonged to her mother, my great-grandmother, and has been in the family since the 70s. Both women had incredibly green thumbs so you can imagine the pressure to keep this thing alive or else be haunted by two incredibly angry ghost ladies.
I was getting nervous because it hadn’t bloomed since she passed, but I noticed some pink buds on it a few days ago, and this morning, I saw this : )
Why is the Christmas cactus is blooming in May, you ask?
I’m… not even questioning it at this point (•_•)
y’know, I’ve joked for a while that the kids I nanny for are straight up cartoon characters, but having a closet door dropped on my head by a one-and-a-half year old yesterday morning, then walking in to work at 8 AM to find that same baby lugging around a box of tannerite for whatever reason made me finally realize that im the roadrunner in this household.
