Mother cat with kittens came to meet an old friend.
I can’t believe we’ve already found the best animal video of 2016.
That is too adorable. You can tell the mother cat actually does trust the dog just by her body language. Typically a mother will watch her kittens closely and be very protective of them, here she completely trusts the dog to play gentle with them. This is just too damn cute.
When he bops the kitten and looks up at Mom to make sure he didn’t overstep!
The dog is trying to make himself as non-threatening as possible!!

Amsterdam based artist Daan Noppen brings a special dynamism to his pencil drawings of still life and portraits. His works are not only eye-catching for their precise layering of details, but also in their massive size that gives his subjects a more palpable presence. A closer look at each piece reveals mathematical equations in between the pencil lines that relate to our reality. More recent works express the artist’s continued fascination with mathematics, geometry, and physics, as his figures appear to be gauged, dissipate, and intermingle in a void of empty vector space.

Ben James creates his elaborate laser cut wood designs using an unique layering method. Using Autocad to design the patterns, he creates a base design and uses an expanding/banding technique to create the layers. He then cuts each segment out of birch wood with a laser cutter, and then glues them together to create a single cohesive artwork.
You can buy his creations and also place custom orders over at his Etsy store.

Eric Lacombe’s “The Weight of Silence” at Last Rites Gallery.
Currently on view at Last Rites Gallery in New York City, New York is the solo exhibition of new paintings by artist Eric Lacombe entitled “The Weight of Silence.”
A master of the absolutely nightmarish, Lacombe has dedicated “The Weight of Silence” to the moments right before death and the anticipation of what may come. As Lacombe says, “imagine the very moment before death when life slips away and something new begins: this moment is truly precious, because everything is silent. I want to evoke that stillness, that loneliness, that sensation of fear, melancholy and happiness.”
“The Weight of Silence” is on display until April 15th, 2016.

Luke O’Sullivan’s Fantastical Urban Environments.
Artist Luke O’Sullivan goes beneath the surface of his neo-noir metropolises discovering a subterranean world alive with wonderful curiosity. The work, inspired by sci-fi films to classic video games, reminds me of two dimensional drawings I myself would create as a youngster; absolutely sure that there was an entire world hiding beneath the soil. Luke’s work takes me right back to that childhood dreamland and that’s just what good art is suppose to do.
