“So how strictly do we have to abide by the rules? ‘Cause if I brought a little something from the twenty-first century, that can stay between us, right? 

“You asking me to keep your dirty little secrets, Cheng?”

“Goodness– I feel like I can barely breathe. This corset is so tight.”

“Then take it off? Promise I won't tell anyone.”

Shane let out a yelp, jumping and twisting to see it was only a tree branch that had brushed her shoulder. “I have no idea why I’m out here!” She let out in an aggravated huff.

“Isn’t it obvious? This was the only excuse you could think of to see me.” Adam quipped, hand reaching out to make sure she kept her steady in her next step.

“Oh, you know, my fans– they follow me everywhere,” she said, looking over her shoulder at the person following behind them. “Maybe we should hop in the next open store though? Just in case.” 

“Why? You afraid that fan might be a little too friendly for your taste?” He began to tease, nudging his shoulder against hers. “Don’t worry, they get too close and I’ll protect you.”

Shane: What ever would we do without speaking?

Val: I wish it was that easy but I'm glad you were able to see this one. Say hi more often.

Val: and when exactly am I supposed to have another opening night?? You can just say hi now!

Shane: Might be a little awkward hanging out and going places when I'm not speaking to you.

Shane: Literally anyone else in the world.

Shane: I'm never speaking to you again.

Shane: You better start wooing me if you expect me to marry your sorry ass.

Shane: I thought you were a good, wholesome boy?

Piper: You sound like someone's dad and not in a hot way. No these are lucky I have to find them.

“I promise I’ll sob every other word, ugly cry face and make a whole grand spectacle of things. As if. It would be an interesting eulogy though, you’d die a hero saving someones life.”

“Aren’t you supposed to be telling me not to be the hero instead of sorting out my funeral for me? Feels like I’m getting the short end of the stick.”

“Kick, push you into the road. Who is really to say? I’m not responsible for what I do when you pull one of those middle ager jokes.”

“What’s wrong with those middle ager jokes? I thought it was funny.” He laughed, moving closer to her and wrapping an arm around her petite shoulder. “If you push me I’m taking you down with me.” 

“Should I be freaked out, because that kind of freaks me out.”

“Nah, don’t think it’s anything to be freaked out. At least not until he follows us to your doorstep.”

“Don’t play like that! I’m sure he’s just trying to get out of the cold like us.”

“No, no, I think he’s trying to get close enough to you to smell your hair.”
