The video for “Planet Xordox”, the single from the new Xordox album ‘Terraform’, has just been published on JG Thirlwell's YouTube channel.

 The video was created and directed by David Slade, from a concept by JG Thirlwell. David Slade has directed several episodes of 'Black Mirror' and ‘Hannibal' as well as such films as '30 Days Of Night', 'Hard Candy', 'The Twilight Saga : Eclipse' and others. He has directed music videos for Muse, Aphex Twin, System Of A Down and many more. Thirlwell created the musical score for Slade’s short film “This Way to the Egress’ in 2018, which was released in the anthology ’Nightmare Cinema’.

We have just digitized our copy of The First Six Books of Euclid by Oliver Byrne (1847) which uses diagrams of intense color as an aid to learning geometry. Although it sold poorly at the time of publication, it's recognized today as a masterpiece of design and printing.

The Music of JG Thirlwell

James George Thirlwell also known as Clint Ruin, Frank Want, Foetus, among other pseudonyms, is an Australian musician, composer, and record producer known for juxtaposing a variety of different musical styles.

Thirlwell was born in Melbourne, Australia. He briefly studied fine art at Melbourne State College (now part of the University of Melbourne) before moving in 1978 to London, England, where he played with the post-punk band prag VEC and formed the first of his numerous musical projects, Foetus.

In the 1980s, under the pseudonyms Clint Ruin and Frank Want, he contributed to various releases by Nurse With Wound, Marc Almond, The The and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

He co-wrote "Wings Off Flies" on From Her to Eternity, the first Bad Seeds album. Longtime Nick Cave associate Mick Harvey would later report that Thirlwell's time in the band was cut short, in part, by a clash between Thirlwell's highly structured studio routine as contrasted with Cave and the Bad Seeds' then habit of "shambling through it" while recording.
