In 1945, after the liberation of the Netherlands, Arondeus was awarded a posthumous medal by the Dutch government and was reburied in Erebegraafplaats Bloemendaal. In addition, in 1984, he was awarded the Resistance Memorial Cross.

Hundreds show up to donate blood in Orlando

Hundreds of people have showed up to donate blood in the wake of a mass shooting at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando Florida, which killed at least 50 people and wounded more than 50 others on Sunday morning. One Twitter user counted a heartwarming number of people lined up at one center.
