Koi, the city of love and life, is a kiss of promise.
If you had traveled here to seek better opportunities, then the city welcomes you. If you had traveled here to seek a new life, then the welcome continues. There, in the open expanses, the feeling of freedom and weightlessness is infectious. But there have been rumors. There have been truths.
Upon arriving, each person is Paired. Koi is the city of love and each person is given a partner decided by fate. They share a home or an apartment. They even get discounts at certain places if they’re together. Being a Pair is not permanent, however. Pairs can change. Some find love. Some find heartbreak. The lucky become Fated.

"How you doing?"
"A date, huh?" Seo smiled, her eyes shining. If he wanted a date, he'd get one. "Let's go play paintball! I got a pretty strong arm, ya know." Movies and restaurants were things done with friends. Dates were meant to be more intense and fun. "No leaving til one of us is down! Ya gotta promise me that, Haru! Course, we're playing for punishment to. Loser's payin for dinner."

Put a letter from A-Z in my ask and I’ll tell you 1 thing I love which starts with that letter.
Briefs
Post-Modern Sleaze [closed]
Ears ringing and glance hardened into a frown from terror, brutal features froze upon the feminine entity as she placed her tilted view to Haru, the brute responding in a frightful grimace at the several possibilities whirring in his head pertaining to her counter attack. Most prominently forward was the thought of “She’s gonna kill me” and “I should run for it.” Before he could put thoughts into action, the stranger prompted the on edge male’s attention with a stern ‘Oi.’
"A-Ah, Y-Yeah?" Haru stammered, tainted hand still suspended in the air. He was too afraid to move it; this chick had the presence of a prison inmate ready to haze the newbie offender. Of course, this view was more than likely the poor brute’s imagination running amok. At her first statement, Haru prepared for the worst rant of his life. Hands were brought up defensively as a sheepish expression cast over the student’s features. "I swear, it was an accident!"
"If you think I’m cute, just say it. Don’t resort to such creepy methods."
Upon the second half of her declaration coming to light, the brute quirked a brow curiously. ‘That certainly wasn’t the route I thought she’d take.’ He thought with minimal amusement and slight confusion. So, if I’m honest with her she won’t be mad, right? That’s what she said. If she gets mad, it’s her fault.
"Well," Haru began, connecting his index fingers together sheepishly. "-since you told me to be honest, I’m not gonna lie, you’re pretty hot. But that’s not why I assaulted you. That was by accident." Halting his action to point at the children playing in the park beside them, he concluded his explanation. "I was watching those kids play and, y’know, everyone swings their arms when they walk. You stopped in front of me. You see where this is going?"
There it was. Seo's arms went from their resting position on her hips to a less frightening fold across her chest. She had thought as much. She was hot. The other's words were lost on her as she nodded in agreement. Seo didn't pay much attention to her appearance more than necessary but her beauty was already well noted in her mind. Eyes closed, still nodding in understanding, Seo only caught three points from his explanation. One: she was hot. Two: he had been too caught up with her appearance that he had bumped into her. Three: he was also distracted by the kids. This all added up. He was a pervert. "So, you were distracted by the kids and then you hit me." Arms unfolding, she pointed at him again, this time with a huge smirk across her face. "Distracted by me or the kids, either way you're a pervert." Following the direction he pointed in, Seo nodded again. "Ah..." Turning her attention to him with a look of realization, she murmured. "A lolicon." This didn't surprise the girl since she already knew one such person who would often hang around her petite friend. At the very least, this person was truthful. Meeting his eyes, Seo placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's alright. I met someone who had it worse than you. He's not in jail." Breaking away from the point, hand leaving his shoulder to rub the back of her neck, Seo frowned. Whatever game the kids were playing was making her concious of her own boredom. She had yet to be admitted into the sports teams and no one around here knew her. Seo wanted someone to play with and eat with. There was hardly any fun in talking to herself. "Ah! I know!" Spinning on her heel, she placed both hands on the person's shoulders. "Ta make up for you touching my ass, let's go out and play or something. There's gotta be an arcade or a court out here!" The words were said in an excited rush but the demand was clear. At the volume she spouted the beginning, a few curious ears stopped in their steps to listen. "Les' go!"

Whistling to the tune that blared through his headphones as his steps matched the beat, the brunette was entranced into the music without much thought for his surroundings. They were nearly nonexistent; it was damned near a miracle he wasn’t hit by anything mobile and six times his size every time he crossed the street (god only knows how many times he potentially walked himself into a coma). Still, the boy seemed to be enjoying himself thoroughly as he walked to an anonymous destination. When he took a new turn or which direction he’d take was an utter mystery, but this was no bother as he usually found himself in an unknown area nearly daily.
The song faded as a new one began to replace it, this one more upbeat than the last. His whistling ceased as a group of shouting kids caught his attention during the song break, a hint of a smile noticeable on his features as he glanced in their direction to see them all chasing around a big, red ball. It reminded him of when he was that age as well, sitting on a park bench as he watched kids just like them play. He was never allowed to join, but contently watching was almost like being in the game, even if it was nine times as lonesome.
Head still craned to the cluster of children, Haru had no notice of a person stopped in front of him, and as he continued to walk forward, his swinging hand hit what was called by the younger children, a “no-no area”. Frozen in place in hopes that he hit wasn’t at all what it felt like, the boy glanced down in a terrorized curiosity as what his hand still touched. As he realized that his hand was indeed touching something it shouldn’t, he recoiled as if his hand hit the temperature of supernova from a kitchen stove.
Jesus Christ! I hit her ass! What do I do.. What do I do?! She’s gonna kill me!
Attempting to reconcile the mishap in his own personal way, Haru figured an apology would still get him killed, so he would take route two. “I-It’s not what it looks like! I mean.. it is, but.. girls take it as a compliment, right?!” Oh, Haru. When will you learn that the way women act on television isn’t at all accurate.
Wandering the city was not a particularly bright idea when you have no idea where your home particularly is or exactly where you want to be headed. Others might consider a map or a mobile phone app, Seo listened only to her feet and her whims. Around her, people were moving in a standard clustered line and she was perfectly content with following after them. There was a certain excitement in discovering places for herself and she was sure that someone like her could always find her way back eventually. There was no rush. It wasn't like there was school tomorrow. Well, there was but that wasn't really of importance. Glancing around at her new 'home', Seo caught sight of a familiar color. Red. It wasn't the color of a basketball but she could remember all the times she had chased something like it down a field. Hmm, those were pretty fun times. I wonder how they're all doing. The kids had been terrified of Seo, of her manic laughter as she scored again and again and again. Of course, she remembered those times fondly, ignoring the memories of the fights and the crying. The blood and tears spilled had never been hers. Maybe I should visit them... In the middle of her thought, Seo felt something of force hit her in a place usually thought to be hit between guys during football. At least, that's what she had seen on T.V. But she wasn't in a competition and she wasn't a guy. There was only one explanation. Tilting her head back, Seo rested her gaze on the male behind her. His words were a poor apology. "Oi." Turning to face him completely, Seo leaned forward and pointed a finger at his face. She knew what this was and she wasn't afraid to call him out on it. "You're a pervert, aren't you? Some poor excuse of a pervert. Damn son, that's not how you flirt. That's how you get punched in the face. If you think I'm cute, just say it. Don't resort to such creepy methods." Seo drew herself up, hands resting on her hips.
A Decision of Utmost Importance
The boy looked around, like he was searching for someone or something. He had no idea of where he was and maybe it would be a good idea to ask to someone to show him around the city. But the boy never was famous for his good ideas, actually he was for the completely opposite. So, now, he was basically lost, but for most people looking the pirate seemed very sure of where he was and where he was going by the way he was running around. Or he probably looked like he was running away from someone, considering the number of people double checking to make sure there wasn’t anybody else running around.
Not that the boy himself even noticed any of this. He was just running cause he was in a mission. A personal mission. That he started on his own not 30 minutes before he came to a halt on the begining of a seemly random street.
He smiled, knowing that he found it. the origin of the delicious scent of meat he had smelled was somewhere around that place. And, man, he was starving! It didn’t take much time for him to start walking again, getting closer to the meat with each step, not even thinking about how he didn’t have any money with him to pay for anything. Unfortunately, when he was almost there, some girl stopped him.
Luffy was ready to shove her away and go get his meat, before he heard her question. "BOTH OF THEM!" he answered way too excited "With extra meat!" He may have confused the reasons why she asked the question…
Indecision. It was always there, lurking and waiting for an opportune time to strike. Seo felt its grasp before she had turned to ask the stranger just what she should do but his answer surprised her. Eyes widening for but a moment, she blinked before a smile spread across her features. "You know what, hat man? You're pretty smart!" Patting his back, Seo took a step forward with the intention to leave him before stopping in her tracks.
Glancing over her shoulder, she grinned at him. He had answered her question, after all, and had brought about the end of her indecision by deciding that she should eat both. It would be rude of her not to bring him along. The student was known for her oblivious attitude that somehow struck almost every nerve on most people but Seo was also pretty generous. There was less fun in eating alone and more fun in eating with others. "Hey, man." Seo jerked a thumb in one direction, presumably toward the restaurant. "I just remembered an all you can eat place with both of 'em. I don't think I can handle it alone. Wanna come?"

A Decision of Utmost Importance-Open
A deep sigh joined the collective murmuring of the passing people. Conversations slipped through her hearing like water through fingertips, words sparking her interest but leaving no lingering mark on her thoughts. Gaze sliding downwards, Seo slowed her pace to a sluggish crawl until her footsteps eventually dwindled to nothing. Low mumbling words left her lips, her brow furrowing ever so subtly.
Standing in the middle of the pathway, her foreign uniform sticking out among the clusters of soft honey yellow and boldly dark black, Seo undoubtedly fit the phrase 'sticking out like a sore thumb'. Even if she were to have been wearing the proper uniform, her contemplative, almost somber, expression contrasted against the other light-hearted faces. She was troubled. She was puzzled. Perhaps, she was lost. Perhaps, she was hurt. In truth, she was torn. The voices around her brought to her an inner turmoil. The easy conversations reminded her of home. Closing her eyes, she sighed once more, a great and lingering exhalation of breath timed well to the opening of her eyes. "I can't do this."
Turning suddenly, hands finding shoulders to rest on, Seo stared at the unlucky stranger with fierce intent. Gazing into their eyes with an expression of utmost seriousness, Seo spoke. One question. Two subjects that reminded her of home. One problem. "Yakiniku or Shabu Shabu? Which one? I can't decide."
Heya! Mini Mun Intro here. I go by Inarini but you can call me Seomun since the other's a bit of a mouthful. I'm still in the process of making icons for her but I'll try posting an open or a mini soon. Or replying to one. Either's good. Anyway, nice to meet you~
"I’ll come back for you, I swear!"
"Yeah… I’ll be waiting, Seo!
——-
"Of course, she never came back for me."
ROBOTS OR DINOSAURS?
Distracted by the question, Seo looked up from her assignment. The pesky math teacher had reprimanded her for being late and added on an extra page as punishment, but that didn't matter now. She'd finish it up sooner or later, anyway...somehow. Chin resting on her fingers, a look of contemplation crossed over her features. What a troublesome question. Robots were cool and wreaked havoc in movies. Dinosaurs, on the other hand, held a primitive but real promise of danger. The movies with dinosaurs always had bloodier scenes compared to vaporization in sci-fi movies but there was also a certain charm to the latter. "Huhh...dinosaurs or robots..." The answer would come much later.
