ACTUALLY i might move him to a multimuse. i've always been a bit against having him on a mumu since i considered him to be my main muse and i wanted him to have my full attention. but after i made this post last night ( rather impulsively i might add... which is so out of character of me, cries ) and after sleeping on the matter, even though my motivation to write him consistently has been very low since 2021 ( see the og tags ), i've come to the conclusion that i think he might actually be better off on a multimuse; i don't really wanna give up on him, but i don't want to feel shackled to a blog that i've mostly stayed on because i just didn't know where else to go.

we'll see how long it'll take for me to make the move but, when i do, i'll make a post about it and people can go and follow him on there, and any previous interactions/threads can be continued over there if the interest is still there!

even through the haze of her irritation, she noticed every beat - the shift in his expression, his physical retreat. instinctively, something in her chest softened at the response. hotaru maintained her apprehension, puffed up much like an agitated cat, a few breaths more, waiting to see if his snark would return before she let her guard lower. then, she deflated. slow & forced. a sharp exhale of breath slipping from her teeth in a hiss.

❝ no, it's - don't. please. i'm sorry. ❞ her edge did not disappear, but it was blunted. still balancing delicately between the line of frustration & decorum. she sighed, leaning back into her seat & returning her attention to the words that all seemed to run together before her. it was easier this way. even if she wasn't making any effort to actually read the text. ❝ i didn't realize i was being so ... obvious, ❞ she winced, as though the acknwoledgement alone was somehow difficult for her, ❝ please, go back to ignoring me. i would hate to be a disturbance. ❞

At this point, his expression had fallen, and he was now merely looking at her with a single raised eyebrow. While it became apparent that she hadn't meant to snap at him like that, her mind was still clearly clouded by... whatever it was that prevented her from finishing that page.

Sebastian wouldn't impose though. Because frankly, it wasn't his business - and moreover, he couldn't say he cared that much either. What he did care about though was his own enjoyment. And honestly, who enjoyed being in the company of someone in a sour mood?

“ ... What book is it that you're trying to read, anyhow? ” Perhaps a change of subject was in order. And if not - well, he might as well just take her up on her words and ignore her all together.
