“So….there may be…someone… 

I hadn’t thought much of dating for a long time. Raising my little genius has been my laser focus for ten years now but then there was Levi. He’s cute–he knows it too, ha. First day he spoke to my baby, he started calling her ‘Rocket’ and immediately set to teaching her how to fix things around the house. Things kind of blossomed from there and, soon enough, we had ‘the talk,’ you know.

After the custody battle, we said we’d take it slow for now. Or, as slow as we can. Aaliyah’s suspected things have been a lot more romantic than we let on but she doesn’t seem to mind. He’s always sweeping her up in big hugs, encouraging her, and listening to her when she talks about school. He’s good for her–for both of us.

I don’t know where this is gonna go, or how far it’s gonna go for that matter. But what I do know is that he’d do just about anything for me and Aaliyah. We’re his girls now–Rocket and Rosie. And, for once, I’m alright.”
