The finished bit of mending accomplished today. This belt is over twenty years old (that realization was a bit of a shock), but my goodness has it held up well over the years!

The finished top for SMP Quilt 3.0. All hand sewn. July 2022 to June 2023.

The whole bottom half of the pocket had come unstitched, so I tackled that first and then added a bit of embellishment.

Setting up the pieces in a panel before stitching them together. My felt ironing board works exceptionally well for the task.

We’re four weeks into the new school term and I have done NOTHING aside from study and sleep. One of my goals for the year was to dust off the pencils and pigments and that’s only been a (very) partial success with these two faces emerging…and that was before school started back up. So the trick will be to add to these before 2024.

Starting the finalized layout of the Diamond Quilt (there’s still one day left to buy an entry to win the finished project btw)
