hai rain! i just kinda wanted to spread awareness (kinda). so, in my city, they're threatening to build a data center. horrible, ik. i live in a place with a lot of farmland. if its not a house, its a farm. lately there hasnt been a lotta water, so having this data center would probably just send us all to shit and make the bills even higher and food even worse.
i just wanted to say this to maybe remind people that this stuff is real and actually happening to people. people tend to forget the news is actually someone's life

Yes! They are trying to pass it through for them to build one near where I live too, and it’s so upsetting and frustrating to see people saying the news is dramatic. Like, yes, news and information is sometimes dramatized for effect—but you have to understand that these are real people with real lives, no matter where they exist.
Fight back! Sign petitions if you’re able! This stuff is scary, but hopefully voices will be heard!
