It can be either fantasy, Cybertronian, humanformer, whatever the imagination would like. OR EVEN as a familiar. Each AU will have different scenario.

Cybertronian -- I see one with human and one with cybertronian. (1)Human reader: they have finally ended the war. No side ended up winning because somehow the humans found a way to outsmart and manipulate both side into losing causing the Cybertronian to fall to the control into the hand of the humans. (2)Cybertronian reader: the bots and con are just unlucky to be a lower class and we are the higher class one that are kind enough to take them in as one of our worker. I haven't had a clear idea on this AU yet, so you guys can suggest some ideas. But I like the cybertronian reader concept tho.

Humanformer -- Both Decepticon and Autobots are considered rebels. They have been terrorizing the country while being at war with one another making them to be considered as the biggest threath for the Country's kingdom. Once they were caught, each of them are sold to be slave once the kingdom view them are broken enough.

Familiar -- the transformers are just powerful familiar to begin with. I can see multiple scenario with this. (1) some of them are out there actively seeking a witch to bond with. (2) Some are tied forcefully to a mean witch, and we somehow able to break that bond. (3) We were the one that initiated a bond with them.

The one that I can see with the ABO AU is mostly humanformer and familiar. The Cybertronian is with us as a Cybertronian as well but with heat cycle.

I can see all of them with the yandere concept, how ironic would it be when dear reader are the master but ended up with a or multiple yanderes in their life. Reader can be either just oblivious until the end and got fully control by them. Or just smart enough to play along with their yandere behaviour, enough to still have access to their own freedom.

Human Reader

Perhaps the Transformers will end up defeated on all sides. Their species is most likely wiped out by war. Cybertron is dead, the Matrix is gone, and there is no leader.And let's say they've never seen Earth before they face the catastrophe of extinction, but if humans are going to take control over the Transformers, I think it would have to be in a future AU where humans have advanced enough in technology. There may be some space colonies, some contact with some alien species, I think it makes sense that humans could take in giant alien robots as laborers/slaves/pets.

Cybertronians reader

Maybe the Autobots and Decepticons didn't win at all, but instead another faction, like Nails or a group of mercenaries? But I think Nails would have done better for the plot because we've seen that they clearly have a hatred for both sides of the political/war divide, so it feels like if they were the ones who won the war (by some miracle), Nails would definitely put the Autobots and Decepticons in a difficult position, maybe branding them war criminals, but they still needed all the bots to focus on developing and restoring Cybertron Imprisonment is not the solution, some bots are too skilled to be locked up and rot, so a hierarchy could be in order.

Or could the Cybertronian reader be from another colony, like Caminus or Velocitron (If they don't have an energon shortage problem. Which yes, maybe it has been fixed for the plot.) They are considered a separate race from the regular Cybertronians or second-class citizens if I'm not mistaken, but since the game has change. So, as all sides grew increasingly depleted in resources, exhausted, and mentally shattered by the war, the war began to subside, but Cybertron was left with nothing for them. So they had to turn to their neighbors from the colony planets for shelter and help.

Or I could suggest that Quintesson and us, who could be their followers and profit from it if Quintesson manages to take down the Transformers.

Amazing ideas as always, yessss... I'm not really stuck with the human one as I have always preferred Cybertronian Reader when it comes to Transformers, so I'm going to solely focus on that.

Cybertronian

[I love the first and second idea, so maybe a mixy mix between the two]

The bots and cons having to go to other colonies due to war and low resources. And with them being branded as war criminals, they have very limited choices. In order for them to survive, they ended up becoming slaves willingly or unwilling. Bots/Cons will have a certain collar and cuff that will restrict their movement from acting out and only their 'Master' has access to control it. Drastic measures do need to be made when you have a bunch of mentally unstable war criminals that are just seconds away from going kaboom.

Reader is part of an ancient clan (made up or something). The bots/cons ended up being put in Reader's care as to Reader need help to manage their property.

2 SCENARIO:

Hunter Reader

Reader is a hunter that actually specialises in hunting monsters or sometimes mercenary jobs. So Reader got (insert bot/con) as a gift from their friend. At first they don't want anything to do with the 'slave', as Reader doesn't really agree with the whole slave system. But they ended up taking them in because well, it's a gift. And they do need some help to maintain their living area. Hunting has good income, but very energy draining, not to mention the multiple 'close calls'.

Bar owner Reader

Reader owns a bar and is doing somewhat ok. Good drinks, good interior, they have it alright. The only thing missing now are the workers. Because opening a business is expesive, they need to find a good cheap alternative if they want the business to succeed. And slaves are the cheapest ones, because you only pay in the beginning and free labour 🙌. They don't really like the whole slave system, but they really do need help around. So, they went and bought 2.

Depends on who they got they will have different kind of interaction.

Examples:

Starscream will hate you to the spark. He doesn't like his current situation now. 'Slave'?! Him?! How infuriating. And who do you think you are to claim yourself as HIS owner? And then you proceed to just treat him nicely, validate his opinion, respecting him but still stand your ground. What is this? Some kind of ploy to get him to your berth? But you never use the collar, only when he harms you. And that was only 1 time, the second one you let it happened and just look at him with... understanding? Maybe he can tolerate you for the time being. Only until he figure a way out. Until then, he will continue to 'play nice'. For now...

Bumblebee is just scared. What's going to happen now? The Autobots can't just end like this. Slave? He's a minibot for crying out loud! As much as he hates to admit it he's scared. He knows what society views minibots as. He is now being sold to you. A HUNTER?! This is not good, he needs to find a way out now! Now you told him to just rest. Ok, he'll do that. But what does he have to do tomorrow? Help you clean up? Alright then. What about the next day, you have to plan something bad for him tomorrow. You're teaching him how to manage around the place. Ok, what are you planning. Surely you have some bad intentions do you not? But not once have you ever treated him as a slave. Heck, you don't even treat him as a minibot. But an equal... He guess he'll stay for now, only until he finds a way out.

Ratchet just finds this whole situation unreal. How did it get to this point? From a medic to war criminal, now a slave worth an amount of shanix. What a joke. And now he is your property. He's too old for this. But, it's not like he has much of a choice now. So his first task is to, rest... What kind of hidden motive is this? Why do you look sincere when you say that to him? The following days you gave him reasonable task, respecting him and his boundaries. Actually trust him, his medical skill. He can use his knowledge to his advantage and escape you, but will he be lucky enough to end up with someone like you again? He still doesn't accept his situation, he needs to find the other Autobots. He doesn't trust you but seeing how you treat him, talking with you wouldn't hurt he guess?

That's all I could think of at the moment. Who you got first will have different scenarios.

I could write the other but I'm not that confident yet, every character has different personalities and it is quite hard to make their POV sound like them. And it's actually pretty hard to write something to actually make sense. Good gracious my words are not wording. I did not expect it would take this long to write something.
