Who’s the moron now?
I can’t wait for the day when you finally realize what you lost. When my star burns bigger and brighter, that will be the sweetest revenge of all. Just you wait, just you wait.
Cross The Line
It’s been a quick minute since I’ve posted any kind of vague update so lets give the people what they want (or don’t want, I don’t know any of you, maybe you’d rather see a gif of dancing puppies or some shit). I’m happy to report however that life has somehow settled and feeling less like a nauseating ride through a turbulent storm and my work life while isn’t amazing is at least palatable.
It’s crazy how some things that seems so important when you’re in high school and even in college becomes less so when you enter the “real world”. Like the mighty oak, I feel myself growing towards the sky and reaching new heights everyday. Learning new things, both good and bad, experiencing new experiences, and meeting new people are all part of the growing experience and instead of resisting the change, I’m starting to embrace it.
If you fear change, that’s okay too. For me, learning to embrace it rather than resist has perhaps, quite possibly, been the hardest lesson of all. While trying something new or looking at the world with a new perspective is starting to become the new norm for me, there are still certain aspects of my life that I still stand unwavering (like my deeply rooted love for tex-mex and all things cheese while I try and diet). Guess what? Like I said before, that is okay.
To conclude this already too preachy post, I want to share a saying I heard during one of my Monday motivational videos I listen to. “Cross the line.” When I first heard it I wasn’t sure what to make of that and honestly I didn’t think much of it. I concluded my drive to work, settled into my desk and began my day. The phrase to my surprise however stuck with me and as I thought about it more and more, it honestly became my mantra. Cross the line, do something that pushes you outside of your comfort zone a bit, take chances. Whether that’s moving to a place you’ve always dreamed of but didn’t have the guts to do or changing up where you buy your coffee, cross the line.
Happy Friday guys! Go out and have a couple of beers or a glass of wine, you made it through the week. You deserve it.
It started out as a feeling Which then grew into a hope Which then turned into a quiet thought Which then turned into a quiet word And then that word grew louder and louder 'Til it was a battle cry
I really wish people would stop with the “We’re living the Harry Potter series right now”. The series (among other things) was to me a temporary escape from the real world, not a reminder.

Fears
I think my biggest fear is staying in the one place I’m in now. Unhappy, in life, love, and work. When you become an adult you have infinite amount of choices and yet I’m CHOOSING to stay this way. That’s the scariest part of all.
Worldly Travels and a Goal
I feel like wanting to have traveled to every continent by the time I’m 30 is an attainable goal.
One of the most disappointing realizations about becoming an adult is that toilet paper and food no longer just manifest, they become finite.
Olympic men’s soccer starts today...
Out of clutter, find simplicity. From discord, find harmony. In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity.

The secret behind Voldemort's origins.
Everyone forgets that Icarus also flew. It's the same when love comes to an end, or the marriage fails and people say they knew it was a mistake, that everybody said it would never work. That she was old enough to know better. But anything worth doing is worth doing badly. Like being there by that summer ocean on the other side of the island while love was fading out of her, the stars burning so extravagantly those nights that anyone could tell you they would never last. Every morning she was asleep in my bed like a visitation, the gentleness in her like antelope standing in the dawn mist. Each afternoon I watched her coming back through the hot stony field after swimming, the sea light behind her and the huge sky on the other side of that. Listened to her while we ate lunch. How can they say the marriage failed? Like the people who came back from Provence (when it was Provence) and said it was pretty but the food was greasy. I believe Icarus was not failing as he fell, but just coming to the end of his triumph.

Life Lesson #397
If someone asks you to go get a frosty at 12:30 am, surprise, it’s actually a booty call and not a frosty invitation.
Thank god I can admit this anonymously.
I’m kind of digging Blink-182′s new jams.

I wish I could find someone to love and connect with as much as I do with my dog.
Still, there are times I am bewildered by each mile I have traveled, each meal I have eaten, each person I have known, each room in which I have slept. As ordinary as it all appears, there are times when it is beyond my imagination
