sirius black stands in the gryffindor common room, a charming smile on his face and the sweet aftertaste of euphoria after gryffindor won the quidditch match against slytherin. the common room is wild—people are running around, re-enacting slytherin missteps, discussing epic hogwarts moments, and playing truth or dare in the center of the room. sirius’ mind wanders to his brother, regulus, who would be sulking after losing the match, but he quickly snaps out of it and joins his friends in their celebration.
